Alright will have to try it I have a small can motor that I’m going to try but I’m afraid that the shaft is not long enough.

A Sagami MC90 or MC94 for Tyco/Mantua steamers might work. You may have to change the gears, though. I just put an MC94 like this one...

I've never found a good can motor, the boiler and firebox is too narrow.

I just acquired a varney Casey jones for free and got it running but wanting to re motor/dcc it I have a motor idk if it will work tho Tia.
