Pen Station

This is an aerial view of the Ballard Terminal Railroad's locomotive pen - what I like to call "Pen Station". The prototype has room for two SW1s, an old NP caboose and an even older wooden trolley. The HO version has room for just one locomotive as the layout is only 11 inches wide.
Nice work!...are the posts made from finishing nails?..i like the fence work, what did you use for the barbed wire? I did one like that around my feed mill but I used plastic Q-tip sticks...and I had scrap marks where the gates rubbed the ground..(another detail idea!) Yours looks great! A+!

Nice! I'd say a plastic spill berm under the tank would be the major missing detail!

Those are some good ideas for additional details - I'll get to work on it!

Yes, Bob. Those are finishing nails. The barbed wire was made from a diagonal cut of the screen material. I actually built this pen before starting anything else on the layout and it encouraged me to go ahead with the whole project. You never know. . .
