M1-Abrams On Flat Car

M1-Abrams On Flat Car

Ooooo RAH!
Hmmm! That's an interesting-looking tank. I have four tanks on flatcars, but on my layout it is 1953, so there are a pair of M-4A3E8 "Easy Eights", plus, on another flat, two Russian T-34's. One of the T-34's has the turret sitting on the flatcar with the chassis. If you look closely, you can see where the 76mm HEAT round from one of the Easy Eights penetrated near the base of the turret. The other T-34 is intact. It seems that when the North Korean crew saw what happened to their "comrades", they bailed out and surrendered! Tanks are being hauled to an Ordnance depot for comparative evaluation.
