I love the colors!

Story time. So I got it off Ebay for 30 and it was painted a grey color. I Stripped down th gears and motor and such and soaked them all down in cleaners. got it cleaned and back together, free lube and found a unit that runs better than new. Able to compete with todays running standards within reason. The shell was a Santa one, 624 I think. I went to strip it to restore and sell. Got the paint off nicely. let it dry. came off with alcohol. a week later all around the doors and details on the hood, it bleached the plastic pigment. Could not figure why and somebody said maybe it was contaminated and the alcohol reacted. either way,, had to be painted at that point. Lehigh valley had NW2's. surprised Lionel didn't do one. That where it came from.
