needless to say. I am very much looking forward to seeing enough track work down for you to test run a train or two - and am very keen to see your layout completed, it will be a fantastic layout and I dare say, very enjoyable to run either by yourself, or with a couple of mates over as well.

Compared to your Normal size, mine is Horribly oversized, I know!

Its 3" sections. with 2" track spacing using Peco #6s.

7 for sure, still contemplating if I want 8. There's room but would severely hinder any types of structures. That would only leave me 4" to the backdrop with 8 tracks.

You could simply use several half relief structures or one long one and use that track as a load/unload track

I had that thought as well. I have purchased several printed industrial buildings that were glued to 1/4" foamboard from an Ebay vendor. They look really nice, especially if stacked.
