Zimo Plux22 36-570B Lighting Query

Two questions really.
I have the OO Scale Bachmann Class 37 Thornaby TMD fitted with Bachmann's recommended decoder, the Plux22 36-570B

F7 and F8 control the cab lights, using JMRI, I've programmed them to switch off once the speed reaches above 0, regardless of the direction of travel.
One end (F8) does this with no problem, the front end (F7) doesn't, it won't switch off at all unless I turn it off manually.
Am I missing something here ?

Second question, the cab lights are way too bright, so how do I dim them down? I'm not familiar with Zimo decoders at all, so I would appreciate it if you do know the answer(s), try and keep it simple, I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolbox when it comes to Decoders. Thanks.

Hi, I know old thread, but did you find an answer to both? I only started looking at zimo as youchooz seems to go with them exclusively. I am looking at a sound decoder for my Dapol GWR 517 that I bought DCC ready and now am finding that Dapol don't sell the sound decoders like Accurascale and Rapido do. Looking at the manual, it's all greek to me. They don't use terms such as aux or port, so I can't find anything.

Youchoos will add the speaker for you I think, it's then just a case of swapping the decoder and finding space for the speaker.
Drop them an email and tell them what you want, and the model you have, they will be able to advise you the best way forward.

I did manage to dim the lighting thanks to other members on the forum who have more experience with Zimo.

Thanks! I did contact youchoos and John responded. Since I had added a headlamp to my loco, I wanted to know how to set up F0F in the decoder and the firebox flicker get assigned to the coal shoveling. He said all that was already programmed in, so I should be good to go. So, I just placed the order about 5 minutes ago. Shipping is a bit steep for a single decoder but oh well.

I also need to be able to change intensity of the lights to get the feel correct. Or add a larger resistor.

Yeah, the resistor trick seems like the path of least resistance (no pun intended) if you're not deep into the decoder menus. Get it working first, then tweak if you want.
