Guess I'll start this off since I just took a "family photo" of all the N-scale locomotives I've custom painted. Not all of them are prototypical, whether from earlier ignorance or later willful disregard, but most are pretty close and they've all turned out pretty well :)

I love it...earlier ignorance or later willful disregard. Pretty much sums up my model railroading. The locos look great thought. I am just starting to dabble in repainting some locos and rolling stock. I will document my progress.

Here is a mixed freight along Lake Champlain. Hope to get some good progress made this weekend and have something else to post for you guys other than these stupid rocks!:D

Mike you have an awesome collection!!! Bridgeliner your weathering job is very realistic.

I will have something for next week, too; been putting a bunch of stuff together for my gravel pit. lasm

They're some awfully well-done rocks to look at, though. As is the weathering on the train itself. I can't imagine that I'm ever going to do that kind of detailing, but I do appreciate the work of others.

Got my Athearn Genesis GP9 W/ Tsunami Sound today. Also picked up some Intermountain Reefers.

Nice looking equipment and layout both. I always liked that green & black that BN used; I'd kinda played with the idea of putting one or two in my roster, but I'd have to patch them to BNSF to make them fit and that just doesn't look quite the same. Interestingly enough, I just saw a patched green GP38 yesterday on BNSF's feeder line here, so that paint job is still running around.

Green and black, my favorite. How does your GP9 run. I've only seen one of them and it did not run well. It seemed to need its pickups cleaned/modified. Athearn did the number I'm going to model but I think I will stick with the Proto version. It has had some big modifications to it that I would have to do to the Athearn as well.

Here's another version of 6303, one of my most recent roster additions. I tried to detail it as it appeared in 1995 or 1996.

It runs really well, very smooth and quiet. I'm extremely happy especially because it was only $150 from M.B.Klein. I have a GP38-2 Tiger Face I need to convert to DCC so I can run that too.

There's some nice looking locomotives. Below are a few pics of my latest build, which I named THE CODFATHER FISH MARKET. It's an O scale building.

Thanks for looking,

Great little building D.A. Love the signs and figures (and pigeons) The little scenes like that just don't work as well in HO.

Thanks Gary for the kudos; I enjoyed making it. :D Why don't you think scenes like this don't work well with HO. I'm just curious because I've never had an HO scale layout.

That is a great building; good imagination in coming up with the name and the scenery involved. I don't know about HO, but I'm thinking this would definitely lose something in N-scale. I mean, the pigeons would have to be just two little dots of gray paint :D

I love the complexity I can get from N for the space available, but there's always that trade-off in detail. If only I had a few acres (and a hefty bank account) to build an O-scale layout ;)

D.A., Mikes got the idea. The figures are just too small to be as effective in the smaller scales. Mike, you would never find the time to fill those acres with work the quality of DA's.

Hey Mike, thank you for the kind words. I generally have some type of whimsy with my non-general buildings. I create all of my signs, which is one of my favorite parts of the build. The build before this one was an HO structure and I added as much detail as I thought would 'show' for its size. Here are a few pics of that one:

My favorite build size is O scale, but there seems to be more accessories and kits available in HO scale. Building in G scale is a breeze on the old eyes after doing an HO! LOL

Finishing up my diorama - was gonna go on the porch and get real sunlight to hit for these photos but it has been raining as of late so my roomready1.jpgready2.jpgready3.jpgready4.jpg and photoshop it is! :)
