then, start over
Nope, I cannot identify. I generally don't watch videos.I'm citing a condition I and a number of others are experiencing; the feeling of being stuffed, full bellied and balloted due to all of the thousands of RR videos we have seen and heard, to a point where we're so satiated now that even owning our own trains is almost unnecessary; that, since the watching/viewing of trains is say, 86% of the ritual (if you will) of craving all things railroading (what it comes down to), why not just, well......watch videos and skip the cost-part of owning them anymore..!
You can clear your viewing history from Youtube using their settings, and you can also set Youtube to not remember your viewing history. It's all contained in their settings.I assure you it's not a hoax..In fact today I was searching how to change the YouTube home page to start anew, with no train videos at all..I am just b u r n e d to the gills simply seeing 17 of the 22 (whatever) video thumbnails of trains of one size/kind/age or another; just the home page !! It's like someone is holding my mouth wide open and shoving as much peanut butter as they can, down my throat !!! Soon as YT learns what you love they barrage you, plaster you with as much of it they can !! When you had only the library, before the net, you saw only the spine on the RR books and the title where you had to even bend your head a bit as the words were mostly sideways..and then sometimes you'd find the latest MR on the mag rack, grab it and peruse it to death knowing another month will have to go by until the next issue.. Now we gotz trains 25 hrs a day, 8 days a week, 32 days a month and.......right, 366 days a year, just in media, aside from your own, other's, and clubs and remaining hobby shops you might visit.....
AND it seems like EVERYONE'S getting into the act now !! I had NO IDEA there were SO MANY MRRS out there; this line, that line, this sub, that sub, home layouts now the size of what used to be a club layout, requiring a crew instead of just little old you....Ugh...I'm just spent..And believe me, no one has love trains as much as me since I can remember, beginning circa 1953 om L.I. and later in NYC..with my love of the subways..
Enough for now..I rest my Casey Jones 10 wheeler..
Alcohol, women, and drugs. Not necessarily in that order.Without a layout, what would I waste my money on?
Appreciated..You can clear your viewing history from Youtube using their settings, and you can also set Youtube to not remember your viewing history. It's all contained in their settings.
"ditto"So you are burnt out with all things model railroading, then you come right back to tell us so, and keep posting, on a freaking model railroad forum. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.
Automobiles, telescopes, cameras, horses, ranches, beach houses, science lab equipment, lidar, Tesla coils, vintage stereo equipment, yachts, etcWithout a layout, what would I waste my money on?
