Unless the forecast changes...nothing this weekend

.
Well the forecast didn't change but I did take Friday off

. I got the foam for four more sections of benchwork and got them glued in place.
They were good to go yesterday and I was able to get some more roadbed and track down and some feeders hooked up... And today I cleaned up my mess

hello
Finished over the weekend, shakedown flight today.
From the workbench to the sky, DC3 fly over. Now start to laying the track again, get RR built.

Beef and Beer run, new scene on new layout. Touched up the freight cars a bit as well:
The new backdrop may get done this week. In the meantime, I moved the old one to this spot.

Nothing happening for the rest of this month and next, except running trains. I might install the platform lighting I already have though. Not sure if I will wait to buy a different style in greater numbers.
Now working on a tube guitar amp, so that's keeping me busy currently with a re-cap.
Hey, all. Spent a very nice morning with Mom today (Mothers' Day) and in an effort to continue to do something, no matter how small, every weekend I dropped several feeders this afternoon.... that's it today

. I'll keep soldiering on though.
Now working on a tube guitar amp, so that's keeping me busy currently with a re-cap.
We’re going to need a picture of the amp.
It's finished. Last week I fired it up after building a current limiter and buying a variac to break in the caps gradually.
Replaced almost 40 electrolytics in this and has all new EL34 and 12AX7 tubes for final out put and preamp. Sounds as good as it did almost 20 years ago. Still waiting for the cops to show up.
Looking over the small Industrial Estate. A new backscene/backdrop

The little homesteader shack is being staged, not sure where to put it yet, but it needs to be somewhere around these stumps where they are clearing land...
Looks like there is a big area where the groundhogs can get under it, hmmm
Thanks for looking,

I decided to finally build this kit that's been sitting for almost a year. It is a transformer house, or Trafohaus used for electrical distribution along electrified railway. My yard is not electrified, but it's about the only space I had to place it.
After a long hiatus; I am finally getting back into working on my layout. I really let things go for quite a while and not I am trying to place structures and then dirt and grass will finally come

Love those old cars and engines!
Today I just about finished the open grid benchwork (I think that's what it's called). Still have to finish running bus lines and then plywood and foam on top...then continue laying track

I decided to go through some of my boxed rolling stock, to my surprise there was this assembled 50' box car and these two unstarted roundhouse kits, I put them together and will be weathering all three:
I found two more unassembled box car kits plus some other accessories that require assembly. I think I will work on this stuff for a while...
