Today was a Kato SD45 patched for MRL, a (mostly) Kato SDP40 and a Athearn SD40.

In response to the British sending the Scotsman over, UP sent Big Boy 4006 over to the UK to celebrate the steam program. Here, 4006 is seen pulling a rake of British Rail coaches.

These transformers were at the end of a short freight. The first one, too big. Second is too small. Third one, just right!

The first two are from the Walthers "transformer factory" kit, the last one is scratchbuilt. The kit box says 'molded in six different colors' but unless you count shades of gray, it was only 3. It doesn't matter, I just thought it was amusing.

Speed matched these 2 last night. Well, the best I could anyway on 3 ft of track. I soldered the decoders to the chassis so hopefully between that and about 15 min of back and forth on the siding, they'll be happy enough to run on the club layout tomorrow.

Tango no Umi. This train runs from Kyoto to Maizuru, which is on the West Coast of Japan. It's a JMSDF base and has a lot of nice red brick buildings. I used to catch the predecessor, which was called the Tango Discovery, to go there to execute installations on their ships. Neat little town.

Lone Star Treble-o-Lectric
2 x U.P. F7 locos plus cars.
Recently bought after looking for some time.

Treble-o Lectric was produced in the 1960s in the UK and was made to what is now "N" scale on 9mm track but probably to a different size scale to modern "N" scale.
The locos used rubber band drive similar to the old Athearn system ( Hi-F ? ) with central motor and long shafts.
Running on my test track for N and TT gauges.
