I've noticed that at least one of my posts to this forum suddenly disappeared.
I didn't see any message to this affect in my personal message inbox as is common procedure on many forums.

Question: Are posts deleted here with no notice to the poster? Just curious.

short answer, no.
Possible it was a duplicate post (same info. posted in two different sections) in that case, if there are no replies, the post in the most correct catagory is kept and the other deleted.
In the case where there are answers to both posts then the two threads are merged into one with duplicates removed automatically.
There is no need to make duplicate posts as clicking on any search will bring them all to the resulting search page no matter which forum catagory they are posted in.
If it is not a case of duplicate posting, then I have no idea of what happened as it is not forum polict to arbitrarily delete members posts unless they are Spam; argumentive etc. and in any of those cases the member will be notified by PM

Cheers
