I imagine the Z21_ is a wonderful dcc system but being a European system and me not knowing anything about it and being technology challenged I would not even attempt to consider it.

Also I would like to apologize to the people running this great site for posting or starting this thread at least 3 times confusing everyone including myself. I do appreciate all the help and I promise ill try to do better when posting. But please bear with me, after all I'm near 80 and still playing with trains.

If you any other advice please post your thoughts, IT'S always appreciated!!!

That you consider yourself "technology challenged" is why you SHOULD consider it.

I'm just an old retired engineer, and I found the z21 is so "approachable" that "even I could do it".
I'll go so far to say that I could never have accomplished what I have with the z21 (and also Digikeijs) if I had been using something like Digitrax or NCE. I would have found those simply too baffling.

Actually, you might also consider this:

I'm a NCE wireless guy. I'm in the USA and NCE is a US based company. And the NCE system works well with a great selection of features.
DCC system considerations are different depending in what part of the world you live in. Parts and service availability should be of importance in consideration of the brand you purchase.
The size of your layout makes a difference also. Simple "running of trains" as opposed to large, multi operator layouts running trains and involved with prototype operations. Operating 2 locomotives as opposed to 15 or more locos operating at the same time.
With todays economic system being what it is, money becomes a big factor also.
Beware of new start-up companies as compared to a well established company as you may have the latest and greatest of something only to find out the company, 6 months later, is now out of business and you are left holding an expensive DCC system with no more support for updates or repairs.
Lots of things to consider.

John
