I bought several boxes of these to upgrade the wheels on a bunch of my passenger cars. So far, I replaced the plastic wheels on the Athearn Blue Box passenger cars I used for my home built Polar Express and they did not disappoint. Screenshot (797).pngScreenshot (798).png

My stuff arrived yesterday in the mail! I'm really impressed by some of Atlas' rolling stock that I own including this one.

4 Bachmann plain black girder bridges. These will likely be painted down the road, but this will provide the bridges for the railroad bridge crossing over the interstate.

Pannier came in this morning. Looks awesome but had some issues with the pickups. As noted in several reviews, the pickups are not adjusted correctly and do not touch the wheels in most cases. I had to remove the bottom plate, adjust the pickups, and clean out a lot of the over lubrication from the factory.

The best thing about this thing is that it is not way over detailed. I can pick it up without breaking something off, so far...

If you followed my posts, you would know that I have the replacement DB150 command station and power supply on order. If I am going to spend that much money, I might as well go all out and buy the DT602 Advanced super throttle while I at it. Been looking for the best price and it looks like Amazon with free shipping is about the lowest price. It's a lot of money to spend in one month (considering I have a steam locomotive in the shop also); but like they say, "ya can't take it with ya"

I finally found one these at a good price and it came yesterday. A Kenworth tractor and detatch trailer hauling a Cat 320 excavator.
The layout needed some new equipment and this fits the bill. Only thing I didn't like is the Kenworth comes without mirrors 😧

After my Digitrax DB150 developed a short; I had to replace it. Doing so opened a can of worms. You can't just eat one potato chip, so I had to buy a new power supply, then since I bought the new command station, I had to buy the new throttle to go with it, and since my old throttle holders will not hold the new throttle, I had to buy new throttle holders...assuming my UP5's are compatible with the new throttle, that should be it for a while...a little bit more money than I want to spend...but like they say you can't just eat one potato chip; so I bought everything...I hope. I will not install the new stuff until I am finished re-wiring. I am a little over half-way done. It is a very slow process. I can't assume anything, so I hook up my volt meter to an outside rail (red wire) and check continuity with the wires in a general area under the table. No more hooking up 20 wires then checking continuity for me. I have learned my lesson
