Of course you should!Should I purchase a North British Railway 4.4.0 Glen Class locomotive.?

You know were a bunch of enablers here?![]()
Do you ling it?they have.
Better yet, check out Jason's build:That looks great, I visited the web site Jason Jenson Trains, for the first time and really liked the buildings they have.
Do you think that you might post some pics. of the... Miller Tools... model kit while you are assembling it?
Gotta luv those giant main drivers. Looks awesome!North British Railway 4.4.0 Glen Class
For a time, Kato got hold of some "really" yellow LEDs. I've ended up with a few over the years, and usually replaced the LED with a golden white LED.I made an impulse buy for a Kato Kumoya 90. Closest I could get to an N scale Kumoha 40 since I have an HO version.
At first, it ran like cr@p so I was worried. Took a look at the motor and added some oil to its bearings. Yep, that did the trick. Added cabin lights and off to the races. Need to investigate why the lights look so yellow...

Those must've been the bulb days. I do like the warmer colors, especially for my old timers. This instance though was through my own doing. The LED was too white, so I added a couple of layers of kapton tape as a filter. It looked fine earlier but in that shot, it looked much yellower than the car in front. I have since replaced them with a set from Glanzlight. This guy makes stuff for N and HO that come with stay alive caps for most. For a time, Kato got hold of some "really" yellow LEDs. Same here, but have always been impressed by their large main driving wheels. Love the spoke, wagon wheel look. Started buying this past December, mostly 0-4-0, 0-6-0's and one 2-6-0. They grew on me.I can never understand the design of the British locomotives, to me they are odd, and to me ugly!! But for some reason I am attracted to them in a weird sort of way. I love old time British railroading though I have never seen these things running except in models. I guess I'm too used to American railroading.
I gotta get to the UK one day but unfortunately I'm running out of time.
I wanted to go to the Austin Train show but I also have plans for the Plano Train show in Sept, so I optioned not to do the Austin show. Austin, for me, is about a 300 mile drive one way, Plano is about 185 miles, one way.Back from the Austin train show. Someone needs to apply a padlock to my wallet before I manage to spend all my food money:

Most of it is used rolling stock; I had only a handful of toys on that score, so I couldn't help myself. A small amount of new stuff, and one single used locomotive; we'll see how the latter works out.
My favorite find is the Amazon Prime shipping containers, though:

I really wanted these for my future layout, and that also led to the Kato Gunderson sets, which I hope they will fit (but we'll see). Is it sad that the majority of my spend was on Amazon Prime shipping containers and the rail cars that will carry them?
Sigh.
I've now spent this month's train budget... and next month's... and probably the month's after that too...
And somewhere along the way, I somehow managed to become a collector of Chessie System stuff. Now I need a loco with Chessie livery...
