I am interested in seeing your J94. I hope you post a pic when it arrives.

BTW, the Hunslet and E1 run very well. Very reliable. In fact, the Hunslet is upside down having her front steps glued on and the E1 is towing an ATSF lighted caboose around right now. I just applied the hooks (without chains) and checking to see if they interfere with the kadee coupler.

My new understanding about the NCB is that it started in 1946, although the collieries were taken over during the two WW's. What I am not sure of is if the NCB provided the locos or if they just rebranded the ones that were there, which may be why they come in different colors.

i had to:

will fit perfectly for my Feather River project :)
(and i call it a early birthday present) :D
They really nailed the "urban weathering." Like, *really* nailed it. Some teenager is going to be mad when they realize that someone stole their tag.

In real life I have seen NCB locomotives in various colours.. Collieries appear to have 'their own'.

Accurascale is coming out with theirs soon. I was looking at the one called BOOB (8008) haha.

I have to find a railway company name with NCB in my timeframe of 1914 - 1919.
Seek and thy shall find.

Way back in the late 1890s a little known railway, the Newall, Calverley, Burley Railway was formed to cater for the foundries in the area. It did not last long as the Kirkstall & East Seacroft Railway purchased the Company 1903. In the purchase there was an amendment that there must always be a locomotive in N.C.B livery

I just have to find a suitable name for the locomotive

Ah, ok I get it now. At first I though this was an Ancient Aliens thing when a board was created after the period haha. I wonder what the livery looks like. I can't find anything on the interweb on this railway.

Good job in finding it. Can't wait to see it.

I love searching local history for the layout. Some is genuine, some a little twist and make it fit. (Rule 1).

In real life the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and London & North Western Railway were running trains 'almost' like one company. Both companies ran the others carriages and freight wagons. In effect saving both money. It was such an agreement that after the Great War they finally amalgamated.

I had a L&YR locomotive. A 2.4.2 tank in L&Y black. Today I have purchased a 0.6.2 tank locomotive of the LNWR.
It should arrive by the weekend.
