I purchased 3 Armour reefers with all the rest being Santa Fe boxcars, reefer cars, stock cars and 3, 1958 cu ft Santa Fe hoppers.
Since I bought so many, the seller reduced the price to $12.50 each. Some have never been out of the box.
I was able to find 6, Santa Fe "Texas Chief" boxcars. These are all pre 1952 cars.

Got a little extra fun money the other day so naturally I spent it on trains. What else would one do? Can't wait to run this on the layout.
Got a ScaleTrains ES44AC from Hiawatha Hobbies online. My first non-American railroad represented in a locomotive.

Is the photo of the original in the lower level of the Museum Of Science & Industry, on the South Side of Chicago? Use to ride it in regular service when I was a kid! Last time I was at the museum they were refurbishing 9900 after moving it indoors. I have the ConCor DC version. While I would like to have it in DCC for sound, it is said nobody remembers or has a recording of the original horn sound. Learned to balance without holding on in the rear section. I was about 5 years old.

I have that on pre-order too. I have loved that consist since the first time I saw it at the Museum. I hope it will make the turns and clearances on my home layout.

See what the HO scale Pioneer Zephyr's by ConCor are going for on ebay! Good thing I got one plus the fourth car when they first came out. DC only.

I am starting to populate the bench work and tracks of the first stage of my railroad and started with the terminus of passenger route with Walthers Union Station kit. I'm just going to complete the outside structure right now in three parts and light and add basic interior details it at a later time.

I'm having a gas operating the railroad so it took a while for me to get started on the scenic elements.

Got a couple more Rapido 73ft centerbeams in to build up the fleet with something more modern than my opera window ones (although I love the look of those!). Norfolk Southern and Wisconsin Central/CN represented here. Also got a Walthers refrigerated box truck on sale that will be used eventually for the food distributor industry.

Just placed on pre-order this Tomix N-scale 9600 2-8-0 steam locomotive. This was the predecessor to the mighty D51 2-8-2. I'm glad they decided to make this as the D51, C57, C62, C11, C12 have all been done to death. The last 9600 was made by Microace, I think, and that was a while ago. This will come with a lighted cab and firebox, a first. I just hope it runs well as Tomix steamers tend to be very noisy with that garbage motor.

I picked up this for the orphan fleet. A Southern SD-45. No it's not SP, but it has half the name anyway. I do have a small number of foreign road locomotives. A couple of Atlantic Coast Line diesels, and even some Illinois Terminal stuff that I run at the club. I always liked Southern's Tuxedo scheme, and the way they hung on to the high hood configuration. Neat looking locomotives. I'll weather it up and maybe stick a Conrail caboose behind it!

For the layout configuation change that will add a small LPG distributor, I had to get some LPG cars. These came in today from ScaleTrains (ARI 33K Gallon Spiral Jacketed Tank Car). They have great details. The last photo is both together to see the color variation (faded vs as delivered).
