Hi all: Great photos this week. It was a great weekend to be camping at World's End state park, here's what I've been working on. It's a model loosely based on by dune buggy.

Great shots everyone!!!
Being a 4 wheeler myself, I have to say I love the dune buggy on your layout Grampy!!..One thing it needs is maybe some dust colored cotton behind it...."Kick up a lil dust!!".....Very cool...I always enjoy your pictures! Great Work!!

Jeffery, Is all your layout Ez track? Love watching this rotted coal tower build.

My layout is all EZ-Track with the exception of one short spur. The trackwork and ballasting is such that it's set off several arguments over whether it's EZ-Track or flextrack on cork. Thank you for the compliment on the coaling station. I'll be sure to post a photo when the roof is complete.

Thanks Trucala: I agree, as steep as that hill is, there should be a cloud of dust and stones being thrown out from the spinning Terra tires. I'll have to work on that.

Great work, guys.

Jerry, I really like those lights at the gas station.

MLW, nice cars and engines, but I really like the looks of the brickwork on that building.

Mike, looks like you're going to have a really nice train set there. The smoke from that engine on You Tube looks better than most American smoke units I've seen. How are things out on the desert.

Jeffrey, looks like you'll have nice, dilapidated coaling towers when you're done.

Gramps, I guess you could try the old cotton smoke trick like Bob said. Get some cotton, paint it dirt color, paste a few small rocks and weeds on it, and glue some behind each tire. It would probably look pretty convincing.

Hey guys and girls,

I haven't been in here in a while. Sorry, I got wrapped up into the Phillies getting into the World Series. I doesn't happen much for us Philadelphia sports fans... so we relish it any chance we get.;)

Anyway, we were riding down the highway at 75MPH when I passed this picture below. I slowed down to about 50MPH and let it catch up to us. Luckily I had the camera in the car and handed it to my wife and said "when this yellow thing catches up to us take a picture!" She thought I was nuts. Then she realized it was train related and KNEW I was nuts.:D

Here it is.

A Missouri Pacific Lines speeder a guy was towing. There must of been a meet some where close. I would love to get a ride in one of those things down the rails. It seems like a fun day out.

PS She want to make sure I gave full credit to her for taking the great picture in a fast moving vehicle. She was so proud... It did turn out really good for a one time shot.

Ron, tell your wife she did a great job on that shot. I think that speeder has about the most lights I've ever seen. It would be really cool to own one of those but I have a feeling the wife might not understand. :)

Hi friends, here I am with a proyect that I want to finish... and start...

Did anybody know where to find a 8 axle flat car dimensions??? I mean, the real size of this tipe of flat cars???

Please if any of you can help...:D

Regards from the desert... with the summer allready here...

Good news for those of you looking at a Soundtraxx Diesel Tsunami and want to hear the EMD 710 before you buy! I finished the install tonight, and will continue programming next week, most likely finishing it and putting a video up for all of ya. It sounds simply amazing. My secret enclosure for the speaker is a seal from under a 1 gallon water jug's cap. I just cut it out and it fit perfectly, while adding a little bass to it!

Mike, I assume you mean a flat car that has four trucks, two at each end. There really isn't a standard length because they are built for different purposes. The general class for 4 truck flat cars are the FM or FMS class. These can range from 62' long to 93' long depending on the type of load the car was built to carry. Some had flat steel decks and some have depressed center decks for tall loads. None of these cars are in common service on US railroads. Is there some particular car you're interested in? I can't give a better answer without knowing more about what railroad or comany owned the car and what load it was built to carry.
