Weekend Photo Fun 1-9/1-12

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

A shot of the Thornton Building (tall one) and the Hotel Gwendolyn behind it. Then a shot of the lobby interior on the Gwendolyn as it is being worked on. Lastly a pair of shots of the wood block flooring that is being installed in the SLIM&M Car Shop. This flooring is composed of individual 6"x6"x10" blocks set on edge and while seldom modeled is very common in turn of the last century industrial buildings.

A few photos at the club

Now that I have had a chance to sort a few pics, here's a few shots at our club layout. Enjoy!
This is a great shot inside out trainshed.

I forget which "Chief" this is, but the train is the club's and the power one of the member's.

Here's a pic of a UP 2-10-2 I detailed & painted for a friend. Another member was running his "400" past and I like the effect.

and to my surprise was our old local signal box on a flat car, it was removed a few months ago and i presumed had been demolished and scrapped, but it look's like it's going to live on, the ballast hoppers in the foreground were the subject of police attention last year when a very badly decomposed body was found in the bottom of one, yuk

Nice layout your club has there. I have Met Mark from your club. I belong to the Pennocks Fiero Forum and he is a member there. I had a thread there in the off topic about Ho scale trains.

I've been working hard on getting my layout in good shape. I am setting up the base coats of paint for my cliffs and some lower areas, and also plastering all of my holes in the plaster cloth. I also got my second Rio Grande SD-45 loaded with a decoder, and built a wood tunnel portal (I still have to attach it and put some plaster cloth on it.

Jerome, your never cease to amaze me. Absolutely love your work.

Great work these week everyone, so many fantastic aspects of your respective models and layouts. Keep it up.

Got some more of the interior on the Hotel Gwendolyn put together. Some of the details (coffee urn, bath room fixtures, etc) are commercial parts but the rest is scratchbuilt.
