I just received some vintage wooden HO reefers With Hook and Loop Couplers, should I or can I convert them over to Kadee's

I would recommend converting to Kadee's. If the original couplers are mounted on the trucks, it will depend on how the originals are mounted. Frankly, the best thing would be to change out the trucks and then body-mount Kadee couplers to the reefers. You will have fewer problems that way.
