Turntable & Roundhouse diorama

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Thank you…slowly plugging away…unfortunately I have ADD…I started another project…a 1/35 scale diorama of a German WW2 tank factory. Both hobbies are draining the old pocketbook.
Never too many hobbies. I just started another new hobby with drone flying only to find out not only is the motorcycle parked until I get my cataract fished up but also I can’t see the screen for flying the drone.

Drone flying is great fun, nerve wracking initially till you know the limits of your Drone's battery life and maximum distance, your capabilities grow the more practice you get.

As long as your aware of the numerous rules/laws in the US concerning drone flying your good to go, and enjoy your new hobby.

You may want to chat with @D&J RailRoad as he does a lot of drone flying.

I love detailing interiors but eventually you will need to fix or replace something. Having removable cardboard style roofs (though it allows you to see the interior) are not ideal due to warpage and or the curvature/incline/decline of the roof. It’s the same reason I am debating whether or not to install the remaining joists to the rear of each stall. Again it’s having the ability to reach into the model to repair something. I may make some removable joist jigs that can be slid in and out of each gap.

Ah yes. Hobbies are a 'drain'. Though they are a lot better than some activities I could mention.

Love to see a picture of the tank factory some time.

Hello David,

I know this is off topic for this forum but here are the photos you asked for. This diorama will have three Hetzer tanks, one of which will be having the mantle and barrel being installed. The building will have a crane and girder assembly. Not sure which direction I will place the tanks so I posted different views.
