You did great!
There are over 100 pages of information in the thread I posted below, It's worth reading. Weathering is an art form.
You
You get an "A" from me

!!
Thank you so much!
I gave it a try, I think it’s pretty good but I’ll need advice from you guys
What do you think?
For a first try this is great. I’ve tried weathering but have been struggling. You’re starting with a blow torch and I’m still rubbing two sticks together

. Nice job

Update: You guys really seemed to like this, and with all the suggestions I've received, I think I'm going to try this again. Will send pictures once I get around to it.
1st time? Looks fantastic and as you can see provides a different visual representation of a model of what is running out there than a RTR out of the box. I like the two suggestions earlier, more sporadic, or not patterned rust on roof and mud & road grime sprayed upward along the very lower edge of the car.
Two of my suggestions. Go to a garage sale and pick up some old played with and broken tyco or toy bachmann cars. Use those to practice weathering on. second when you change out to metal wheels place the car upside down in a cradle. Use a dremel with a wire or buffer wheel to polish the tread where the wheel rides on the rail. These are always shiny on cars in service. You will need to have your thumb from your free hand act as a retarder or brake to slow the rotation of the wheel caused by the spinning dremel.
