Time for me to show off!

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

DL, is it shut down for good? Or just during the summer?
We had a hard shutdown of our layout due to expansion construction over the summer. Usually we are just closed to visitors but still open to members during the summertime.

Also I haven't posted for a while. I've been collecting more passenger and express cars to start running a Fast Mail instead of a Hiawatha. Short video showing that here:

This will replace my Hiawatha during our special nighttime events, as the fancy train didn't run at night and the Fast Mail did.

Otherwise have some photos.

I've really come to dislike my pair of Walther's Proto E7A's that used to pull my Hiawatha, and then I went and learned that Milwaukee didn't run them on the Hiawatha trains int he 1950's anyway. No idea what Walther's was thinking there, so I got two F7's to make a triplet passenger set during Black Friday sales. For now one has sound, but eventually all three will get ESU.

I finally added the red Mars lamp to my Skytop lounge.

Then I decided that wasn't enough and added classy marker lamps to the Beavertail of my 1935 Hiawatha

Lastly, I got tired of my BLI #261 being dead, again, so I took it apart on a whim and ripped out the disgusting Paragon stuff. Once you get rid of that, the model runs like butter. I'll be doing a video mini series about it in the coming month.
