This is probably my most useful tool that I have

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

My wife bought me this for Christmas several years ago; and I have never collapsed it and slid it under the layout table. My layout is built WITHOUT being able to reach directly across it in mind. In the 20 years or so since she bought it for me, I use it almost every week. It's like viagra, when you need it, nothing else will do. Surprisingly the price hasn't gone up that much. I believe mine is made in the USA and the current ones are fine China. Regardless, it is my most necessary tool

I thought about buying one of those when I was building the station area at Langwiess and hanging scratchbuilt catenary over three tracks plus a couple of yard tracks. It would have made the job much easier. I managed through two pop-up access holes at each end and from the front using a short stepladder and step stool.

That lean-over creeper would have been a Godsend.

Our club has one of those. We don't use it every day, but when you need it, there is no substitute!
