There have been some changes to the bench work too. Still haven’t settled on a design.

It’s gonna look great once you get going!
I can hang drywall like nobody’s business as they say but do not ask me to mud it… yikes!😬
Just finished the mudding on my new walls. Got to the end of sanding and made the call that "Good Enough" was simply going to have to be Good Enough. :D Then as I was almost finished painting, I found a couple areas that were... not quite good enough. If my wall was an audition for a contracting gig, pretty sure I won't get the job. BUT - The Trains won't mind once they start running. :)

Looking forward to watching this one come together, Rgeiter.

Yup, 20 sheets will do that to ya'!

My latest load of materials made it to the garage - where it was cut down to size before being brought to the basement. :) Not so easy to do that with full sheets of drywall, though.

For those not familiar with Superior Walls, they are pre formed concrete walls, lowered into place and sealed together. One issue I had with these walls is that you have to build your corners. I used treated 2x4s. I did not secure them to the top or bottom. It’s wedged in there plumb so I can get the drywall measurements. Once you screw the drywall to it on both sides, it’s solid.

So I’m done with all the walls. Next I need to build a storage closet under the steps, as you can see in the pic, it’s full of cars and buildings. I am also rebuilding my work bench. Love the ol’ bench!

It’s been a slow go on the basement/ layout drywall project. Still learning how to tape. Getting better though. I’m not even half way around on the first coat yet. Saving all the inside corners for last. Stay tuned.

Also considering a drop ceiling now. Just got to figure out how I want to do that next.
