Red signals, yeah, I didn't have the computer running that controls the signals. Should have noticed that but was wrapped up in running the train cam.

I've received a few messages suggesting that I include a headlight in the tunnel area of the layout when using train cam.
OK, you got it. Another run in the dark with a headlight.

What happened towards the end of the video where everything went dark--looks like a train was coming from the other direction?

I like the video outside the tunnel. Who really wants to see the mess hidden inside. Still an interesting video. A night trip through the layout would be great once the scenery is up.

Awwwwww, come on guys. A night ride? Just close your eyes and you have it.
I would think maybe a twilight ride would be better. At least you could see what other lights about, i.e. headlights, buildings, spot lamps, flood lamps etc.

That's exactly what were are expecting. Buildings with detailed and lit interiors, street lights, operating crossing gate and the whole gambit.

Ken,

I'm willing to compromise - a twilight ride it is then.

Do you take advance bookings by any chance, and can I sit up front and blow the horn? :)

Did some more scenery work today. Along with some stuff up on the top of the mountain range and some smaller stretches of border, this illustrates some of the work. The white area is the wall plaster over the foam board.

Another very nice video Ken, and I agree with lasm - that earth mover looks as though it is exactly where it should be.

the earthmover on top of the bank is a nice touch
I agree, there's a million opportunities for earthmoving equipment scenes around a railroad.

I used some to spice up a scene of unfinished scenery:

More, Ken, more!

I didn't even notice the earthmover. I had put it up there out of the way while I was working the wall plaster.
I'm looking at mini cams for these videos. The Samsung HMX-F90 is a bit to big for a flat car. It over hangs and makes the car kinda top heavy causing roll overs on occasion. I picked up a Cobra CDR 820 at Target this morning. A very small cam but the battery life is only in minutes.
