Mornin' all! I just got back from the Phlebotemist, plebotanist, Lobotomist, Hmmmmm, the blood sucker person. Hopefully my sugar is in control 'cause I been good.;) That said, I'll have a #2, over easy on the eggs, bacon, and a double order of sourdough toast! Oh, hot sauce for the homefries.

Rex spring in Alabamy looks that same as spring in NY. Just happens a couple of months later up here. LOL

(Hi Bill!)

Good morning gents,

Another weekend has come and gone, with a little bit of layout progress but nothing to 'write home' about. I was trying to find a cheaper way to model densely-overgrown areas of bushes and small trees using pillow stuffing from Michaels Arts & Crafts [plus $1 spray paint from Wally World] but the colors I sprayed on were too dark, and it takes forever and a day for the paint to dry - so no successful results to report yet...

Steve - I tried re-dialing your skype account but it said you were offline. Must've been some problem with the skype server? Anyways I hope you'll feel better soon.

CJ - that's scary about those funnel clouds! Hope that doesn't become too much of a regular thing. Glad to see the Alabama Central construction is about to begin:cool:

Rex - Sorry to hear the last few days were kinda rough, especially for Caroline - glad you inserted those happier springtime images at least, they serve as a great reminder that the bad times will pass!

Fergie - good luck with the Tsunami installation and the family issues.

Bill T - I'm with Fergie, why don't you stop hiding behind the doughnuts and coffee machine, and come on out and chat with us for awhile?

. . .
Enough from me, back to work!

So I rarely post in this thread, but I had to today. After breaking my camera, I felt lost, there's so much I had planned to do this month with the camera, including going to the Model Railroad Musuem here in San Diego. Well about a week before breaking it, I happened to find a dollar in the parking lot, after work (Un-lit lot at around midnight-1AM mind you). I spent that dollar yesterday, as the tip to my barber, and today, I happen to find $2 UNDER a dryer in the laundry room on base!! Talk about lucky dollar.

CJ: Don't leave any wires dangling loose. If you do, the electrons will fall out of the wire and get all over the floor. They are very slippery. At least put a bucket under the wires. :D :D
Now he tells me!!! Went downstairs this morning and there was a little pile of those buggers on the floor and even more were sliding down the one wire I hadn't attached to the joists yet.:( And to top it off, as they scattered, the little B******s were laughing at me. Sounded a little like a bunch of Jerry's in the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. Looks like I gotta go and hire an "Electron Exterminator", and boy they ain't cheap either!;):D

Josh: That does sound like a lucky dollar. Keep doing that and if it continues to grow like it did this time, you'll be able to get a new camera in no time. BTW, I've been to that museum. Really cool. I have some video of some of it.

CJ: You're just lucky they scattered. During their mating season they become more aggressive and have been known to attack. It's not pretty when that happens.

Rex: I'd post pictures of spring in Idaho, but I doubt many of you want to see pictures of fresh snow this time of year. For the second year in a row, it snowed on my wife's birthday. She doesn't like that, she was born and raised in central California and can't quite get used to snow and cold in April.

Great museum, I've spent hours on end there, but all my pictures were lost in during a failed upgrade to XP SP2.

Oh! Oh! Oh! My sugar went up 20 points just looking at those, Bill. Could I have one of the Chocolate covered ones with my morning coffee?

CJ, be careful down there when its mating season, some things they do can really be "shocking"!

OK, I'll go sit in the corner for awhile and enjoy that doughnut. :D

Oh DARN! Late again and all the donuts are gone. Thanks anyway Bill. I will just have to turn this thing on earlier. Flo, I will settle for a late Spanish omelet.

Lots of good laughs on here to keep us going for the day.

BIGD: SNOW? Yeah, but I bet it's beautiful in your part of the country.

CJ:Watch out if you back them in a corner. You may get a CHARGE

Donuts? Count me in yummmmmmmm. Anything with sugar and I'm in..

Well the Surf is all go road legal and everything now the Mrs can stop driving that wee sports car (my eldest daughter lost her licence for a while, drinking and driving)

So all my efforts can go towards my RR, NOT!! I'm sure the new bathroom will have to be done first. The new fittings have just arrived (shower, bath, vanity)

Oh well one day, Ken.

Evening coffee shoppers,

I can't stay long because I'm in the middle of [yuck!] ballasting my main line. The stuff never goes down the way I want it to, and I'm worried about not being able to fix any mislaid track [yes I've test-run trains on it, but you know Murphy...].

Steve, sorry I missed your skype - been out in the trainroom doing the above task.

CJ, have you thought about maybe setting a trap for them? You could probably put them in a scale model zoo on the Alabama Central to great effect!:D

Rex - I think you were better-off getting in here late, those sugar-glazed doughnuts don't look the least bit healthy (ask Ray as soon as he gets his lab results back!)...

Eric - Got GPS on the new bike, so we can find you easily if you accidentally ride into one of those Sloss mine drifts?;) Seriously though that is one fine-lookin' machine!

Gotta go, can't be here and be ballasting the track at the same time. Toodles!

Whoa! That bike is LGM's, right? (hehehe... That's the way it will be before you know it!) :D

He wants one B-A-D!!! I may see about that before to long...

Ken, Verticle mine shafts??? Shudder the thought.

Hey, Bill --- Welcome to the forums, and THANKS for the donut!

Today I read new posts from oldest to newest --- glad there was still a donut left when I got there!

:D
