So I've finally decided to do what I should have done and build myself a
"I'm-fed-up-with-cars-and-locos-derailing-and-falling-onto-the-floor-to-get-broken-and-then-having-to-fix-them-when-I-know-it's-my own-fault for-not-building-this-earlier" retaining wall.

1"X1" lumber with 1/8th clear perspex.
Looks good Chris!

I will need to do something like that in the future. I have some track close to the edge.

I just need to do the section at this end (where I'm standing), I haven't had a derailment on this curve, but we all know "Murphy's Law" and all that.

Both side sections are now done and grassed (mat). I still need to try and blend that in some.

Looks great Chris! My track is quite like yours, do you get lots of derails?
Hi Gary, I used to, they get fewer as I tweak the track, but I'll suddenly get a derail after maybe an hour of running for no apparent reason and usually it's along the straight section in front, might be the turnout but it's not consistently at that point is my problem, so a work in progress.

Chris, you have that thing running smooth!

The backdrop building looks great, are you going to add blue sky behind it?

Outstanding work!
Thank you, considering they're not speed matched or in a consist I think I did OK.

Weirdly I was thinking along the same lines about a blue sky behind that building would look pretty good, also maybe extending the building and adding some more along the entire back wall as you're intending to do, but cutting out all those rooftop chimneys will be a pain. :)

I think it needs the sky behind it some depth. Adding to it is a great idea too!
