I think he's spending his extra loot on an engine rebuild for his car.
I didn't know he had car problems so fair enough then. Looks as though I'll be forking out on my bike as well in the very near future as well.

As for the "Helix History" - do you mean the real history of the helix OR - our version of it ? 😁

I don't have car problems as such, but 1 liter of oil for 500 mile means something not good, so rather fix it now than wait till something goes bang, coz you know it will happen when I most need the car.

What's wrong with the HD. Tony ?

Our version of the Helix is so much better than the original.

That does seem to be a lot of oil so yeah - get it fixed before it REALLY blows up and leaves you stranded some where. Not sure about the UK but here, a new crate engine is cheaper due to less work - no messing around trying to find the problem to begin with.

As for the bike - I'm not 100% sure but think it is a Carby issue or just a tune up, something it hasn't had for awhile. Last year I changed the exhaust system from the nasty HD slip on to Vance and Hines full exhaust with an S&S Air Cleaner Kit. Changing those things has effected the tune of the bike, I think. I probably need one of two things - a new S&S Carby ($450) or put a rebuild kit through the stock carby and keep my fingers crossed. I've only just ordered new Plugs and Leads to start with.

At the end of the day though - I'm going to have to find a mechanic that can work on the bike - you want a laugh (that aint so funny)? HD will not work o the bike because it is older than 10 years old. Bottom line, their parts replacers (aka so called frickin mechanics) don't know how to fix something that needs a mechanic - they can't just plug the bike into something, sit back and charge me $90 plus an hour for the privilege

Problem is "real mechanics" know that HD wont work on them so they (naturally) take advantage of that as well

Anyway - bottom line is the bike runs like a PIG at the moment so I need to get it fixed, whatever the problem is.

Shhhhhh, don't mention the Helix. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

The air bridge Tony built was pretty awesome tho'

Yes, you'd be well advised to take Smudges advice and NOT mention that "H" word ................. BUT, I am now putting together a new and improved "air bridge" - one that replicates a rope bridge in an earth quake. Once I have perfected it, I'll send you one if you like πŸ˜πŸ˜…

Mmmmm, yeah, same problem here, if it won't plug into a computer, mechanics are useless, sorry, meant to say "replacement engineers" are clueless. But you said your a member of the HOG'S, so have you asked around, they should know someone reasonably local to you to fix it.
If it's running rough, sounds like a tune up is needed or maybe you have a carb needle blocked possibly both.

A rope bridge ? πŸ€” yeah OK, but I want "proof of concept" first tho'🀣
