Okay - back to doing what I thought I never would - :)

I only have about 2' of trackwork to go in and it is all laid. The next question, is do I weather it or not??? I'm in two minds and I am sure you guys will say "yeah - do it" NOT because it will look good BUT because it makes me work :p😂😅😈

Are you planning on ballasting it? If so, then I would vote to weather.

On the other hand, will this become your permeant layout? I know you had plans to build another. If this is still temporary, then why.

Sorry I was zero help there!

Mike, actually you were a lot of help - your right, this may not be my permanent layout. Think I will leave it at the moment and IF it does become apart of the permanent layout then I'll worry about weathering. Thanks Mike!

I just got my little Signals and for cheapo's they look pretty nice to me - metal as well! The installation instructions are a little obscure, to me at least. Basically, they say that each wire from the lights themselves goes to a different switch ? It kind of sounds as though a switch has to have 3 points that can be "switched between" if that makes sense. Then there is the power wire ... I'm confused :(

Here are the Signals:

Here are the Instructions - if you can read them:

OK, thought you said you were using 2 aspect signal's, not three this makes it a pain, the switches you've bought won't work with these, well, yes they will work, but only if you use two of the three colours. Have you got your switches yet ?

I thought I was buying two colored signals - just saw them and saw the price and bought them - that'll teach me to look a bit closer next time :(

No, Haven't got the switches yet BUT that 's okay - I'll go and look for some TWO COLORED Signals instead as I'm not going to mess around with electronics any more than I have too :(

That is true Chris - but when it comes to a Helix - the word NEVER is truly final ;)
