Making a little progress ... getting the outer track in:

This is becoming a slightly bigger project than I anticipated BUT, no where near as big as it would have been had I stated from scratch. Besides that, it is keeping me out of trouble, more or less :)

Okay so lets move onto something a little different -SIGNALS -

What type do I need?
Where do they need to be placed?
How hard are they to install and wire up?
Do I need any special electronic stuff for them?
And any other questions I don't know about yet ! :D

You are a glutton for punishment eh!
Well - it is something I have not done before and I do try to do a little bit more to each new layout. This is deemed to be a new layout so I need to add something not done in the past. Signals won the contract :)

Am I a glutton for punishment? Mmm well, nope - just an idiot, that's all :p:D

Are you talking crossing signals, or train control signals?

Oops sorry, train control signals - the stop and go type :) I have no idea what I need, seriously, and no idea of the type I need or how many even. When it comes to electronics I probably know more about brain surgery - and I know nothing about brain surgery :(

I'd also like them to actually work if for no reason than effect, even if I have to change them manually. I'm not into this automated stuff - takes all the fun out of running trains when something inanimate (a computer) is running them for you.

Sorry Tony, I would be no help on this.

I forgot how hard this hobby could be on the back ... think I'll call it a night although I did get quite a bit done today. All of the outside track roadbed down, 75% of the track and 5 sets of drop feeders wired to the track.

I wonder if I went to bed now, if the rest would be all done when I woke in the morning ??? 😀

We can dream can't we??
