RANK AMATEURS OF THE MODEL RAILROAD FORM FOUNDER
It has been a little over a year since I joined this form, and it has been a great experience.
I have learned some thing's.
Had some great laughs.
Saw some great modeling work.
And met some great people (And friends).
So I just wanted to thank you all. For the kind words and advice given.
I want to thank AuburnCentral (Syd) for helping me get a great deal on some models,
As well as NorthBrit (David) for sending me a few OO scale models free of charge (You guys are awesome!).

Thank you to Colorado Midland Modeler, Kusojiji (RANK AMATEURS RULE!🤣), Bruette, KB02, Old 97, Jaz avalley, TRAINNUT And so many others for a great first year! It has been a great time. Looking forward to many more!

It will be 13 years for me this July and I have felt the same as you about each one. Well... mostly anyway 🤪

We are like a family, we drive each other nuts sometimes, we needle each other, but we always stick together. Most of the time 🤪

That I do😄, but I've also been rebuilding and repainting a lot of older and less satisfactory stuff to get more enjoyment out of it. I'm glad to see that you're looking forward to the next one, I have an old Athearn Blue Box SW7 I got for Christmas that I just finished, so I'll be posting photos of that one pretty soon, and I also have a pair of Life Like GP38-2s and an Athearn SD40-2 that are probably going to go through the paint shops next. I've had all three for a long time, one is a Santa Fe engine that's a double, and the other two have paint damage that would be difficult to repair. I don't much care for the way they're painted anyway, so I don't mind repainting them. It's not that I don't like the road names, it's just that the way they're painted looks off to my eyes. So I'll most likely be posting them in the near future as well.

That's cool! I think part of the reason I really like it, is it is very similar to what I do. Almost all the locos I have are used, and need work. But I like it that way. Each one has its own personality. I sometimes debate what I would do if I was given a brand new high end locomotive...probably weather it. 😅 That's why I like kits as well. I even had a repaint I did of a Santa Fe F-unit (And honestly, plan on doing it again), even though you can just about find them anywhere. But not one like the one you customize, right?
I find your work very inspiring. Looking forward to it all!

I'm glad you're looking forward to it! The GP38s are on hold until I can figure out how to remove the handrails without breaking them, but the SD40-2 is currently making its way through the paint shops, and there's another project in the paint shops that's going to be a surprise when it's revealed.
