Well, here it is all disassembled and packed up. Kinda sad but exciting too. (I get to build a new layout in a brand new house!!!!)

My wife and I spent some hours today sorting and donating a bunch of stuff that hasn’t seen the light of day in about 10 years. So much space now. So tired too.

In the one picture you’ll see a black and red suitcase. From that suitcase back to the water heater is my entire layout, buildings, cars and engines. The workbench is another job yet to be packed up. That’s it for now.

WOW! That's a lot to move, all I'll say is "remember to lift with your legs" :D

This looks like it is going to work very well. Your prep appears to be well thought out. One suggestion, if you haven't already, this is a great time to add leveling legs to the bottom of the layout legs. You are moving, the layout, to a new location and you never know what you might run into. I hope the move goes swimmingly. Glenn

There’s a lot of things I’m going to do with this final layout that I’m going to build. Leveling devices on the legs is one of them. Thanks.👍

Well, it looks like I will have to start over from scratch with the new layout. After looking at the new basement, and all the stuff that will be stored down there, it’s going to be a smaller layout than I planned. It’s going to be a while until I get to it though. I have a ton of other “new house” things to do. Plus I want to paint the basement floor and drywall the walls. Once I’m more settled in I want to measure the layout area and use a track planning program to design this new layout. I’ve always just built layouts. Never really planned. So this will be interesting.

Could you set a couple of sections up temporarily, just to keep in the vibe?

Newbie here. Sorry to hear that you have to disassemble your layout, but it's amazing that you're able to do it in manageable sections and plan on reassembling it in the future. Congrats to your wife on her reappointment and good luck with the house hunt. I completely understand how crazy the housing market is right now. Have you considered reaching out to moving companies medford ma to help with the move? It might make things a bit easier on you and your family. I love the idea of short videos on the progress of your layout. Anyway, keep us updated on your progress.
Thanks. We’re all settled in our new house.

Not calling out anyone in particular, but if anybody decides to make some extra cash by editing in spam links in any posts they’ve previously made, the post, and the forum member, will be deleted with extreme prejudice.
You know who you are.

Did you post your message in every topic or just mine. Because if you think I’m using spam links, that I can’t even see, then by all means delete me because I have no idea what you are referring to.
