Hello. I'm looking into switching to N scale. I have an HO starter set, but it's too big for the table I have. I live in an apartment with limited space, so getting a bigger board for it is a bit too much. I'm looking at some of the Kato starter sets. Does anyone have any advise? I'd love too hear it. I love railroads and I want to finally have my own layout.

Welcome to the group!

N is the perfect size for an apartment. As you know you can fit a lot in a small space.

As far as Kato sets, you cant go wrong with most any of them. They run excellent and have fairly good details. Their track is bulletproof out of
the box and you can be up and running in a very short time.

Thank you for the welcome! I'll look into one of their freight starters. I'll be doing more research into their DCC stuff. That's a bridge I'll cross when I come too it. I was planning on having about 2/3 of my table being a circuit, and the remaining 1/3 being a small yard with an engine shed.

Sounds like a solid plan!
