I gave this HO figure a coat of paint…finally

Yesterday I airbrushed Tamiya Flat Black..
Then top down coat of Tamiya Flat White

Today I got out the Vallejo..dilute almost washes
Then W+N oil wash
Finally Tamiya XF-86 Clear Flat…

I make no claims to excellence as,
A) my small scale vision is not great…
B) my hands shake like crazy…

The whole scene is very believable. People on the layout really bring things to life...

good job of adding the wash/filter to the figure as well as the building. Looks like you might have done some highlights on the gent as well?

Highlights are the base coat of Tamiya Flat White showing thru the dilute Vallejo which is translucent..

ahhhhh. The Xenithal priming technique. I've got a ton of 28 and larger toy soldiers printed that way. My bin of Army Painter speedpaints will probably help get through the mess of zombies I've got planned for my layout.

I'm curious, did you airbrush the major colors on the figure? or bristle brush it?
 
Bristle brush…

Just going with the paints I already have on hand…
Last 2 times I went to the local hobby shop for a single bottle of paint,
I dropped $50 on a bunch of pigments and paints…it’s not cost effective..

I started the 2nd fig this AM… airbrushed basecoat
