Hey All,

I have one of those "Ready to Run" DCC preinstalled Bachmann HO GP38-2's. I am looking to upgrade it to have a better decoder and sound. Can anyone recommend a decoder that has sound that would fit in this unit? Ive looked on ebay and decoder manufacturers websites but cant make heads or tales of it.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Check out Soundtraxx Tsunami decoders. According to the website, a Bachmann GP38-2 would need a TSU AT1000 EMD 645 part #828048 and speaker part # 810113. I just installed a Tsunami in a Bachmann S4 switcher and it was relatively easy. Only problem is my Digitrax system wont program or read CV's without the booster, but I usually just take it to my local hobby shop and they will put it on their booster and program it for me.
