I am listening to the intermingling sounds of 2 Romba robots vacuuming and my neighbors annoying wind chimes. With a constant 25 mph wind they have been hearable for me since yesterday afternoon. Terry can’t hear them, has her hearing aides dialed down! Lucky for her. The only time I can’t hear the chimes I figured out this morning is when the wind gusts come. Supposedly some are over 50mph.

Normally the Rombas vacuums on Tuesday and Fridays but I had to cancel them yesterday because of house activities. Today because it’s the day before T-giving and Terry took the grandkids and daughter to see Wicked and food after!

annoying wind chimes
I like wind chimes and bought a few from a pottery place. They look like upside down tea cups. So I hung one outside on my car port. Took it down after about 15 minutes as I realized that they would be annoying to the neighbors and have it hanging in my room instead. The paper thing that catches the air has long departed, so it acts more like an anti-burglary device as it hangs near the curtain for my sliding glass window.

Her chimes are simple metal tubes that are quite peaceful sounding in the summer time. With higher winds the last week or so, the peaceful rhythm is gone

Nothing right now, but from 6 to 7 is The Essence of Jazz, 7 to 9 is a jazz rock fusion program, then 9 to 11 is Stuck in the Psychedelic Era. I listen to radio like a lot of people watch TV.

We’re lucky in my town to have good radio stations. One in the public broadcasting cluster is a great source for a new, good music, not just the pop junk. We have one of the few full-time jazz stations in the country, and their programming is good, if a little heavy on light jazz. We also have an excellent alternative rock station, although I don’t listen to it much anymore.

Note the absence of commercial radio stations in that list…

Nice! I'm a long time sustaining member of my local public radio stations (vis-a-vis this thread, I'm listening to one right now).

My favorite live music show is no more but still a lot of very entertaining and informative shows!
