The Whiskey train runs by my house just the other side of the trees, I can hear the train while listening to a local girl singing about it.

Some of us do check now and then yes. Every time I do I'm annoyed too that I titled the thread "So"

...Because I search on "What are you listening to now?, but then can't find it. Idiot-moi.

Right now it's Shania Twain and the red version of: Gonna Getcha Good.

Because it has what is, IMO, the best female country music lyric ever: "You're a fine piece of real-estate, and I'm gonna get me some land."

I LOVE that line. Never fails to give me a great laugh. And it's Shania too, after all. A great flirt-girl. She smokes that whole video, she sure does.

Of course I can't even post a link either. But search on that title and you hear it about 43 seconds in. The first 43 seconds explain it, so those are important too.

It's a wonder miracle that all four made it through some sets that I saw back then! Audience as well! I noted that John Entwistle was wearing his "Boris the Spider" outfit in that video.
I've been to several concerts in my time; and a LOT of them took a few stimulants before the show...Marilyn Manson included...Don't know why but I never saw the Rolling Stones in Concerts and Keith Richards has taken every known drug to man. I saw Pink Floyd in Concert once and I might have taken some strange tobacco before and during the concert...all in good fun of course

I have many fond memories of several of the six or seven Rolling Stones concerts that I have been to. Opening acts over the years included (among others), Terry Reid, Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Stevie Wonder, Living Color and Doug Kershaw.

Marilyn Manson
I saw Marilyn Manson in Philadelphia at Ozzfest 2001. I was in awe of how good they were as a band. I wasn't alone, the entire audience was mesmerized by the first four songs, hardly making a sound once the band started playing. I've never seen anything like it.

They set a high bar for the headliner, Black Sabbath to follow, but as usual they were magnificent! The crowd was no longer mesmerized. Ozzy excited the crowd as only Ozzy could do.

Now I want to listen to some live Balack Sabbath!

When I was a kid my parents took me and my siblings to see this rock opera recently off Broadway. It was terrific :D
Tommy. Wow.
When I was a kid my parents took me to see "The King and I." Denver, '65 or so.

I simply love Doug Kershaw. Not many people know or like his music. Louisiana Man won song of the year; but my favorite song of his is Cajun Joe followed by Spanish Moss. Saw him in concert also, sadly it was open air and you lost the feel of the music with traffic noise, etc. Going way back, I saw The Coasters, The Temptations, the Ike and Tina Turner Revue (several times) and Preston Epps (bongo player); and many, many more. These performers played at bar type settings and usually just a 2 dollar cover charge. Ike & Tina were the stirred up the crowd the most, such energy. Here's Doug singing Louisiana Man, how can you not start tapping for foot the tune

Amazon Music playlist: Acoustic Alchemy and Four Play with a little Roman Street tossed in to liven things up a bit...
