I just keyed up Madonna’s album Ray of Light. Playing it loud enough because I have no neighbor’s and so I can hear it while I swim laps for 30 minutes.
She has quite a few upbeat tempo songs that are in my exercise play list. But today the full album
I mentioned Nicolette Larson back in post #61. She was fantastic that night, although it was the Ozark Mountain Daredevils I actually went to see.
Hoped they would play this song from their classic LP "Men From Earth," but they didn't.
I still can:
I LOVE the piano dropped octave at the beginning and again later on again @ 0:57 and 2:10. Sounds for all the worth like dripping, melting water to my ear.
I think this was from Chicago Nine (IX). I'm nearly certain this album was recorded at the Caribou Ranch studio north and west of Nederland CO. Nearly as certain Elton John recorded his "Greatest Hits" there too. Unfortunately the CR studio burned to the ground a few years later.
This is a song which demands you hear the very first note, IMO. Love this guitar intro.
Sounds completely different--this is Annie Lennox--but I so hear a couple of bars of background horns (Chicago type horns ^) beginning @2:18, but really coming in @3:48 and again @4:48. "I love me my horns sections," I guess.
Good grief. I might not stop until I've played every song or tune YouTube has to offer. Still awake.
As far as this video goes, it's from the James Bond (spoof) Casino Royale (1967). Panned by the critics, but widely sought after to play in by the entertainment elite then: David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andres, Joanna Pettet, Woody Allen (the arch-villian), Jean Paul Belmondo ("ooch"), Orson Welles, John Huston. Debora Kerr, Barbara Bouchet...and a host of others.
And the first film by a beautiful lady credited as "Jackie Bisset." Rowwrrrr!

But anyway...it's Dusty Springfield singing "The Look Of Love" we have here. The Voice.
