I've traveled a bit of a musical journey this evening. So I sign off with Mungo Jerry:

George Benson to Jewel to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to Dr. Hook to the Association to Mungo Jerry. It's been a memory through time. :D

Glen Campbell: Good one, man! Not sure if there have any been any other memorable covers of that one (I would guess Chet Atkins might have too) but there certainly will have been several of "Witchita Lineman." Memorable for me, anyway. Of the (two) I know would be this cover, by Johnny A.:

This is less what I'm listening as to watching. I've watched this girl @ 36:00-40:00--the gal in the yellow top--easily a hundred times...probably two or even three hundred. She's the star of this entire 24 hour long video (the first of its kind). The same song repeated 360 times over the entire 24 hours.

She's doing her stuff--on one single take only--on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of what was, so famously for so many years "Grauman's Chinese Theater."

She is NOT a classic showgirl. She's just a regular girl, average height, wide in the hips....and she knows the whole routine like the back of her hand. And even then she can improvise, as when she does the go-go girl move around the outside of the pint-size Michael Jackson and then backs him right up.

She also has...as my little sister might say...she also has her some serious "baditude." :D

If you want to expand it, Kelly Osborne is at 28-32, and two guys who set up this star in yellow are seen from 32-36.

The guy who follows her up has a tough act to follow, but he does his bit pretty well too. 36-40.
