Smoky Mountain modelers?

[West Virginia Midland Man]

Well gentlemen, it seems that love triumphs over all. I'm going to be getting married to a very wonderful woman and we're going to be moving to Sevierville, TN in the Smokies. Are there any model railroaders in the immediate area?

The immediate area would be:

Sevierville
Pigeon Forge
Gatlinburg
Townsend
Maryville

Slightly further is Knoxville.

That is a beautiful area, except for all the puke orange you see people wearing.

Are you TRYING to get shot? LOL. Those are rabid UT fans. Occasionally, we can get the bears to eat them, but even the bears turn them down after awhile. Bears prefer variety.

A bit of a drive from that tourist trap, er mecca, that you are headed to. I don't think there is anything closer.

Overall the Knoxville-Maryville area has several real good model railroaders and I believe that there is a club there in Knoxville. Go to http://www.ser-nmra.org and click on the divisions tab at the top. Contact the Smokey Mountain Div. super and he can steer you right. Also, while there, check out the E-Southerner tab. Its our regional magazine and free to down load.
