While you all wait for the next update on the rebuild, Here is how I updated the shinohara double cross over so it only needs turnout motors.

Here is the shinohara double cross over. modified for DCC. Note it is mounted. specifically it is elevated to match road bed. made of styrene. the turn out is glued to the styrene.

The bell cranks are directly connected to the through arms. Thought the sliding through arms underneath. The other end has the exact same configuration. Connected through the connecting rods that are sleeved (no idea what the technical term for that is) Set up so that one tune out reverses, its counter part automatically reverses to match it. So only two turnout motors ar needed for this. The purple wires go to the frogs, to power the isolated frogs according to the position of the turnout.
