I am planning on detailing some athearn BB sd40-2s, I am having trouble finding detail parts for the sand hatches. What ones have people used in the past and could you include make and serial number, please, also where is the sand filler hatch located on the back of the locomotive. Thanks
 
Check Details West and Detail Associates for these parts. Cal-Scale, a division of Bowser, may have them as well. Precision Scale Company may also carry them, but their catalogs aren't on-line.
