I decided to clean up a storage cabinet in the garage today. It's amazing what you can find going through 20+ years of crap.

We used to live a couple miles South of Colfax, CA and less than 1000' from the original transcontinental mainline. It was SP when we lived there. Fascinating rail relics in our area. A section house had been turned into a home, tunnels, original hand dug wells from a Chinese laborers camp, etc......and I forgot I had these. I found 2 of the original spikes in a pile of rusted junk & cans. It brought back memories.

Well, if it ain’t one thing, it’s another. I just lost the cap on the back tooth that I had done in a few months ago. Luckily I had a root canal on that tooth so it doesn’t hurt.. I think it has a five year warranty or something like that. I just hope I can find the paperwork. Oh well.

Good morning all!

A cool, cloudy 56F this morning. Doesn't look like we will see the sun most of the day which will keep the temps brisk all day. High is expected to
be only 61F. We might not see the 70s all week.

Usual stuff around the house this morning.

Have a volleyball game tonight which is away so dinner will be on the road somewhere.

Have a safe day everyone!

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with missing teeth.

It's troy again

Kuso: Duct tape? Maybe?

About to head off to the grocery. Wife wants apples for eating and baking. We're supposed to get more wet weather this afternoon. The wife's family farm (rented out) has some acreage near the Wabash river in Adams county that is under water. That acreage is always a gamble, So the farmers who rent it, plant it last, and don't count on it producing.

Had a friend on Fecesbook wish me well in the MRI tomorrow, said he had one a few year ago, and couldn't walk after it. Took a couple of hours to get his nerves reset and the effects of the kryptonite to wear off.

Good morning folks. 69°F/69°F out there this morning. Front passed overnight and we barely got enough rain to wet the sidewalk. I thought I might have heard a rumble of thunder, but the real rain passed us to the north.

At least it's cooler, and will remain that way for at least the next five days before bumping up into the very low 80°s by the weekend.

Doctor appointment at 0900. Hope they pull the drain today, but I don't think that is going to happen until Wednesday's appointment. Slept nearly solid last night, but only 6 hour's worth. I'm sure a short power nap will be needed later today.

Have a safe week ahead.

Servus!

I hate MRI’s but it’s because I am claustrophobic. I need meds to keep me calm. But I’ve never had a physical issue with one. I have had many so maybe your FB friend had an issue before the MRI. My wife has absolutely no issues with MRI’s and says just close your eyes!

You will be fine, don’t overthink it

I'm back from the grocery run.

Evidently the closers at the store weren't too concerned about the jumbo-hauler scooters. All were unplugged except two when I arrived an hour after store opening. All showed yellow status on battery, or worse. Except for one.

I plugged them all in, made may way to the far entrance (that wasn't open for another hour) found one that had been plugged in. After plugging that end's carts in, I grabbed the one that was green and hauled my arse around the store watching for good deals.

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where Terry and me play horse sitters till Thursday. The daughter and family flew out last night. 8 horses that I need to feed, let out in the fields and call back in for the evening. No mucking out of stalls or grooming as 2 high schoolers on the payroll get to do that after school. 3 of the horses are the daughter’s the other 5 are boarders. If Terry wants to ride I will join her. Not riding has been tough for her but her health issues really limit her. For years she road every day.

Not sure what today’s other plans are as I have nothing figured out.

The 10 day weather forecast has no 70 degree temperatures in it. Too cool with the winds blowing to sit on the deck or out under the Pergola!

Terry finally broke down and ordered the greenhouse she has been talking about for the last 3-4 months. 12’ wide x 32’ long build on a 4’ knee wall cut into a south facing hill. We are going to try pounding a sand point well to provide water but 1st I need to get the contractor out to create the space and pour the walls. The 36” raised cedar beds and those hanging bag things while good have not fulfilled her veggie needs. Our growing season has really been messed up with the climate change. The daughter and SIL had suggested a couple weeks ago I surprise Terry by having a “tiny” home added. That way Terry can have a get away place. I’m thinking about it but why after 50+ years would my wife want to get away from me?

Not sure what other plans there might be until SWMBO wakes.

Enjoy the day
