Like Dolly Parton said, sex and boobs sell... you should see some of the plastic dolls they have for sale out here in Japan. $hit like that became way too prevalent in Akihabara (electric town) that I lost interest in going.
I write cozy mysteries.

The reader demographic is over 40 women by 80 to 20%

The rules of Cozy are: No sex on the page, No gore on the page, no Cussing on the page. Think "Murder She Wrote"

So, no shirtless men or bikini topped women on the cover.

Good evening folks, it hit 104 here today, I'm really ready for Summer to be over. Got the oil changed in the van today, with the heat still haven't gotten enthused enough to empty the poor beast out from the game convention. @santafewillie I didn't check the new place there out, I'm cheap and was running the entire time I was there. Gonna attack a Kato DCC locomotive in a bit, it doesn't want to play right, so I'm gonna reset it and hope it will behave.
Marco, I think the top one of the rock walls looks better.
David, still praying for you both here.

Timeframe looks to be right after the war. GOJIRA was a product of the atom bombs. I thought at first that they brought Missouri out of mothballs, but the aircraft changed that thought.

That would be cool to see it in IMAX.
Did you see the Japanese produced 2024 release "Godzilla Minus One"? It took place in the war and after the war

or in color

This new one is a follow on.

Evening folks, first time being back on the site since Thursday(?), bossman and his wife went on vacation and I got to house- and animal-sit for them. Didn't feel like hopping on during that time.

It's still hot and still dry. Did have some rain last week but you wouldn't be able to tell.

No, first time I'm hearing of it. Looks interesting (as Godzilla movies do). Seems they changed the original premise of the character as they made him appear before the atom bomb.

Thanks!
the first one (2023/2024) was made for something like $18M or something (some say $10-$15M and up to $23M) and grossed $116M at the box office, and won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. Also a bunch of Japan Academy Film Prize awards

Doesn't anyone run these old locomotives without a string of Diesel locomotives in tow?
Several reasons are behind following a steamer with a diesel. PTC (Positive Train Control) signals, legally required but not on steamers. Dynamic braking, saves the brake shoes on the steamer. Lack of watering and refueling stations along the way; diesel reduces fuel/water consumption. Insurance against breakdowns blocking busy freight lines. Diesel can get the train to the nearest siding in case of mechanical issues. UP usually just uses one behind the Big Boy.

For some reason, some of my deliveries have been made by Yamato Takkyubin, a national delivery service, vice the uber-esque delivery dudes. Might be because of the bad reviews I gave to some of them?
Amazon refers to this as "shifting capacity," using any available service or individual to make deliveries as long as it remains cost-effective.

Lunch at the CPO club on base was good. Met 4 buddies. Luckily, I remembered that one guy's name about an hour before going. If I did not, I was going to hang out in the back until someone else said his name. See, I had a plan! haha.

We all came from the Fat Leonard era where the husbanding agent (the guy who sets up the pier services when a ship pulls in) was running a major scam, cornered the service with some high ranking USN folks. This included prostitutes, bribes, extra services, as well as receiving classified information such as schedule. A lot of people went to jail, including the NCIS agent that was in his back pocket. I remembered the agent as I used to see him in the gym and he used to give the spy brief. I had forgotten about the whole thing but that was the main topic of discussion for a bit. Then the normal who is still alive, who died, how much we gotta pay for medical, etc. I learned a few things, including that I have to pay for medicare in 3 years. My other friends said I didn't but I guess he's wrong.

I ordered a reuben sandwich, which was pretty good. Ate half and brought the other half home. Ate too much and fighting the urge to go comatose. Glad the site is working now to keep me awake.

They already don't want to hear my negative reviews on the junk they sell. Especially when I include how amazon f-d up the packaging. Send a cast iron pan with pasta without any insulation and see how the pasta survives.

And I did notice that I submit a poor mark on delivery, they don't let me submit again for a while. I guess I hurt their feelings or something. Since I don't get to write how they messed up, then they get the mishandled mark.

Also I think the diesel provides the power needed for the modern rolling stock being pulled. Electricity or steam or whatever they need is. Or something the steamer can provide.
