Not a lot of activity in the Coffee Shop this morning! Troy - That's a screwed up health care insurance plan that you unfortunately have, when no one can send you for an MRI right now. You could very well have spinal stenosis alongside of the sciatica. They would mask one another. Add to that the piriformis and it's no wonder that you are in constant agony. I found that gabapentin was only mildly successful, but I was taking a very low prescribed dosage according to the pharmacist, 200mg twice a day. She said that she had some customers taking 2400mg a day; 6x what I was prescribed! Don't remember if you have posted your dosage.
I hope that it gets resolved soon. You're too young to be using the scooter shopping cart!
Welcome to America. It's all about spending the least amount of money to eliminate the need to spend more money. Then more money when that doesn't work. Then more money... Trying to avoid the really expensive thing. Can't reward the shareholders if we keep paying for MRIs every time a patient sneezes.
I do have stenosis. That was diagnosed two years ago. I haven't seen the xrays this time, but the gaps between the verebrae were smaller than they should have been.
This bout has been diagnosed as Spondy. Where one of the vertebrae shift forward and get out of alignment.
Been watching vids all afternoon on it. Bob and Brad are the go-to PT channel, then double check with a few others that aren't just gym-rat personal trainers.
I've eliminated some of my go-to exercises for the "slipped disk" version. And just ordered an exercise ball to help with some of the others that need to have hips and knees bent at 90°.
This one sounds like a slow recovery.
In other news, the wife got her chicken pot pie. And I put in a request for Snickerdoodles when she goes to feed her sourdough starter. We'll see if that happens.
Pretty busy morning thus far. Wife made monkey bread for breakfast which turned out excellent!
Lawn is mowed, made a trip to the ATM for cash for tonight. I had to fuel up the van since my wife and daughter took it last night
for round #2 of homecoming dress shopping. Good news is they found a dress but had to order a size down so that will be a trip
to Rockford next week to pick it up.
Heading for Chicago in about an hour with the wife daughter and 2 of her friends. The vote (I didn't get a say as usual) is to stop at
Raising Caine's for an early supper. Never been there before but supposedly they have good chicken strips.
Welp, you know how the Hot Water Tank breaks when the Kitchen Faucet does? Microwave started emitting smoke, loud hum and Flames. Flames were contained inside which is a good thing. So. What is next?
That Atty that magically assumed that the Jury was 11 to 1 acquittal pulled that out of his butt and not based in reality. Have not seen or heard of a Jury poll....yet.
And a fun time was had by all.
I have to work tomorrow, since I had yesterday and today off, and our company prohibits employees having three days off in a row.
The old account that was taken over and generated spam has been locked.
The work drama has been so severe I have stayed away from the forum to prevent it spilling over here.

I'm getting all the same crap messages I got a week or so ago. Took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to load !
Took almost 10 minutes to load my last post, slow, slow, slow.
I emptied my rain gauge at 1600 yesterday which was showing 24 mm. It rained all night and overflowed the rain gauge. I checked it this am and it had 80 mm's worth.
A lot of the trains are delayed as we are guessing much more rain. I was supposed to do a 25% water change in my pond today, but that'll get pushed back as the pond is getting new water anyway. I put an overflow tube in it and I can see it leaking out continuously while it is raining.
I just messaged my doc and told him that the meloxicam is no longer working. Left hand is giving me shocks again and fingers and toes are burning. I mentioned that the memory issue hasn't improved by coming off the neurontin. I hope he comes up with something I can try or go back on neurontin. Just have to be careful when I take it. If I have to drive in the morning, then I take it after I come back.
My stomach has shrunk so much that when I ate just one regular sized cup-o-noodles, with a little bit of left over fried cabbage, onion, and meat, and a poached egg, I was too full. I may need to ask my wife to get me the mini cup-o-noodles. I went to the cup-o-noodles as it is smaller than a pack of the instant ramen. I am thinking that I should boil those noodes, use half for lunch and the other half, make caccio e pepe.
Good Evening: Happy Labor Day!
The weather for the "last official day of summer", will be "Fall Like". Going down into the 50s tonight.
Tomorrow the "BENNYS" are officially gone, but the meters and beach fees will remain to gouge the locals for another month.
Then they wonder why revenue is down?
Maybe I need to rotate the meds. I didn't keep track of how long I was taking the meloxicam before it stopped working. I'm thinking about 200 days. I was on the neurontin for a few years.
