Looks like Terry is asleep at the wheel tonight. But I found the new place. Careful though, as Flo is still putting the TP in the bathroom. Kinda looks like the old place!

Good morning gang!

Currently 72° under partly cloudy skies heading for a high temp today of 92°. With that comes a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Heading out to the doctors office later this morning to see how the leg is healing up. Hopefully I will get the clearance to go back to work.

Good morning all!

A scorcher today. Currently its 74F but already feels like 80F with the humidity levels sky high! High is supposed to hit 94. Heat advisories are
already posted Glad I got my yard di=one yesterday morning when it wasn't all that bad out. Great day to stay inside and soak up the A/C.

Usual household stuff this morning. Have at least one load of laundry and the dishwasher to empty.

Volleyball game is at home tonight so no out of town travel.

Stay cool and well hydrated today!

Gave a safe day everyone!

Hello from a humid morning in Wisconsin! 69f degrees now 99% humidity and there is barely a breeze. We will hit 90 later.

Taking the grandson and 2 friends to the Top Golf facility at 10:15 in Madison. It’s only $26 for 90 minutes and for up to 6 people so it won’t cost me anymore than just Brooks and me going. Lunch though will be. I think Raising Cane will be the choice, not a place I need to go but the grandson loves it. Since it’s on campus and the students are back the boys (including me) will enjoy the scenery walking by.

Marco, congratulations on getting the paper work handled.

Enjoy the day

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with weather of one sort or another

It's troy again...

found an interesting YouTube vid I want to share, but it begins with Donny and some Canadian politicos, so I'll just provide the title of the vid.

Exposing fake Canadians pushing to join the U.S. | Visual investigations

I was very surprised to see the CBC journalist track down one of the Vloggers (Youtubers) who turned out to be a voice actor from here in Indiana, that has done hundreds of Canadian political viewpoint videos. He says he's hired an an actor, and he has no stake in issues. He's just getting paid to act, someone else runs the channel.

That leads to a dark web style of "Faceless Youtube" channels (we've discussed some others over the last few months) and how this is the latest "quit your job easy income" schemes. Very eye-opening vid on how the YouTube platform is getting used in today's media environment. And a good cautionary tale to not accept videos at face value.

Anyway, Primary care doc just emailed in. He's not sure if he should change my BP meds or wait for the sciatica flare to subside. I suggested I'd contact them tomorrow after my spine care appointment. Once I know next steps with the sciatica, I can give the primary care better info.

Looks like September is going to start out hot like August, heat index predicted to be 104 today.
I hope they are wrong!
Y'all have a good day.

Same here. In the middle of another heat wave in and around St. Louis. 105°F is expected heat index.

Good September morning folks. 22 days until Autumn. 25 days until Oktoberfest. Last time I posted that countdown I had my start days mixed up.

Currently 74°F and already steamy and sunny out.

Eye Dr. this morning for test result from last week. UPS hand-off around 1200-ish for outgoing.

I'll be mostly indoors today so without all of the flurry of activity yesterday, I can get in the train room later.

Have a great 01SEP26!

Servus!

Good Morning All. Clear and 78°, another barely 100° day today. Yesterday was actually 99.5° when I looked, but it probably hit 100°. Wind has shifted out of the SE, meaning cooler temperatures, although not by much, but clouds and higher humidity are in store for the next few days. Triple-digits will return on Sunday.

Yesterdays visit to the electrocardiologist went OK. Had to wait an hour before seeing him due to an emergency case at the hospital (across the street); plus the appointment was for a very late for me 2:00. Didn't get home until after 4:30 due to traffic as well! Several things came out as a result. He is recommending that I not have another ablation to correct the intermittent atrial flutter. Surprising since that's what he does to make money. He is also recommending against having a Watchman procedure done, as he just doesn't think that it would be effective. He believes that a further shake-up in the medication routine will correct any future atrial flutter issues. He is concerned that I may be taking too many prescriptions to begin with. He called me at home around 6:15 to discuss his thoughts further.

Today will start with the dishwasher and then probably some more time spent on cutting/stacking firewood. From my current estimate, I should have enough firewood for this winter from trees that I felled last year, but I still have to cut/split and haul it to the wood stacking area. Remember that I still heat my entire home with wood!

Got home too late for a visit to the train shed yesterday, so no report from there.

Chad -
Chad - That's not fair. Lead in like that and then just go?
The call was just to confirm medications and doses. He found a potential interaction that he wants to study some more before recommending any further changes.
Troy - Those are great numbers for Glucose and A1c. Taking the appropriate steps now could maintain those favorable numbers in the future.
Kevin - Don't expect any change in the weather around here for ReaperCon.

The last surviving Gibb brother (BeeGees), Barry Gibb, is 80 today.

Everybody have a great Tuesday.

You had us worried there for a minute Willie. Glad it's nothing too serious.
