Good afternoon.... Well the furnace and AC is about half done or better. The old one looked pretty good inside for being 25 years old, but the exhaust motor or inducer they call it was getting worn out. Once this is done I can hopefully get started on a layout.
Your right. ESPN initially showed 70-0 on the scores across the top of the web page. Either way, the Fish are back!
I can't complain as the Dolphins have been my "favorite" team since I was about 6. I don't really follow them or any pro sports much any more but when I was around 6 I was at my grandparents house and my grandfather was watching football. It was Dolphins against someone and I asked who "that team was" pointing to the TV and then proclaimed it was my favorite team. Has been ever since.
WILLIE - I grew up with clothes drying on a line! Mom didn't get a dryer until mid 60's after I left town - before that she only had a wringer washer. When she and dad moved, they purchased a set of Sears, Kenmore, which she was still using at her passing. After Dad left me in the mid 90's I gave the set - still working - to a neighbor across the street who would help them when they needed a faucet, toilet valve, or other minor jobs. He offered me $50 a piece, but I told him that he had helped them so much over the years that I could not take his money. I also paid to have new roofing shingles put on his house - he deserved it!
KATE - discovered yesterday that clothes hanging outside in 50% or less humidity dry very quickly. I think she may use the method again especially for her saloon towels. Largest problem is that the washer/dryer is upstairs resulting is additional stair climbing, but I may ask the neighbor if I can install a line over to his house about 16/18 feet a way? LOL. I'm sure that the HOA would approve - after all I am on the board ...double LOL!
OR ... maybe better to just wait until daughter and two sons get their own place?
Trees won't be turning around here until mostly late November?
Afternoon All,
Today I had the early afternoon VA appointment that pretty much dominated the day. They did an ultrasound of all my abdominal organs. At least I shouldn't have to go back to do another ultrasound. Not sure what's on the agenda for tomorrow.
Louis- Great photo.
Mac- Great job on the steamer. Is it a Bowser?
David- Sorry to hear you get the same news hysteria across the pond as we do.
TomO- Glad to hear that it was an easy fix. That's the best kind of fix.
I hope everyone has a good night.

Just a little older, Penn Line. This was a decapod when I started with it.
HUGHIE -- Your layout has to be one of the best and busy train layouts I have seen - top notch in my book. Lots and lots of detail - cheers for a job well done!
CURT - hope the "soundings" were good! You make a lot of trips to the VA it seems? How far is it?
My neighbor (Vietnam Vet) is always on the road to his which is 1:30 away on a good day!
I asked him one day why he did not go to San Diego (slightly less than an hour) but cannot remember his reason?
LOUIS - I'm crushed! Your in the makings for a layout ahead of me. I was hoping to get a stall back in my garage, but with the daughter and kids here not it is filled with her stuff plus bicycles, electric scooters, and the wife's new kitchen "stuff" - even though she is still changing her mind about cabinet placement? One thing that I have learned is that I would have gone parachuting without a parachute if the two of us had tried to build a house together!

Sherrel: My second son is a VA Client. He works at MCAS Cherry Point, and lives near Jacksonville, but is assigned to the VA facility in Fayetteville, (Ft. Bragg). He utilizes a alternative where he is treated in a Network of "community providers". This is because the facility(s), at Fayetteville and Jacksonville are overcrowded. Once they get around to building a new facility in Jacksonville, he will go there. Three Presidents in a row, that never served in the military, have other priorities, except when scrounging for votes.

New furnace and AC is in and I can barely hear it running. Now onto the next project.
60° and still raining. so far 0.49" today to add to the previous total. Lawn gut hasn't been here in two weeks, needs a couple of dry days to cut. Good thing leaf growth has slowed for the season.
Got more ballasting and scenery done today. This section should have been done 10 years ago, it's that old.

Good morning. It's 76 and mostly dark. It's supposed to be very humid later, with rain deluges in scattered location. So, pretty much a typical Florida day.
Good morning gang!
55° with light drizzle outside looking for a high today of only 61°. Looks like fall finally fell.
Oh, it looks like some biscuits and gravy would be great this morning!

Interesting item, not sure which category this falls under, North American or European, but this one seems to be both.

This is actually Japanese caboose. There are prototypes for it.
Morning all,
60° and clear with a 90% chance of staying dry for the next 24 hours. Supposed to get to 93° later. It was 92° yesterday. That's about 10° above normal for this late in September. Sunday is the first of October already.
Still gotta get the 2nd coat of paint on the bathroom. Problem is that when I get home from work, I'm usually too tired to do much.
Oh well,

I'm almost as bad.
Good morning from a very wet So. Central WIsconsin. The rain collection beaker out front had more then 1.5 inches of rain water in it. I need a new beaker, the lines are getting very faded. From 11 last night till maybe 10 this morning we have been getting rain. Definitely needed.
The main track crew of 3 are running about 45 minutes late and I’m ok with that. I actually slept later and better last night than I have in a while. I am just relaxing.
I am packed for the start of the travels tomorrow. Just my meds and some diet Dr Pepper to be put in the car in the morning. We normally leave on trips like this between 8 and 9. Seems the navigation expert says between 6 and 7 for tomorrow. She wants to avoid the rush hour traffic in KC on I35. Funny as she doesn’t seem to ever be the driver during the big city drive by on I35.
enjoy the day

Not very typical on either N. American or UK railroads then, shame, nice model otherwise.
Morning -- We could use a little of that moisture out here?
A breakfast sandwich please FLO .. thanks .. just with a glass of OJ too!
55 f looking for 83 later with sunny and breezy!

Gouge imitation of clapping on the sides, stick European buffers on...and you've got yourself something almost British
