Well, howdy there internet peeps and those who's brushes are dry...

It's Troy again (and again...)

Showered and changed the bandage on my skinned knee. Sprayed it with some antiseptic cleaner I got from a nurse (it helps to have one in the family). Then smeared antibiotic ointment on the pad of the big bandaid, and applied.

Overnight I sold the last big New In Box "Mega Army" I had on Ebay. It's for my second fantasy game. I overbought, and now I'm losing money on a few things that I have no desire to build. This one normally retails for $140, but has been on sale for $120. I was at 100 with free shipping. Lots of watchers, no biters.

I reduced it to $90 but buyer pays shipping. That worked. Found an email from Ebay with the good news this morning.

It's boxed and labeled. I'll drop it off this morning.

So, I found the last three items I have on Ebay, and did the same formula. Removed free shipping, lowered price by what I budgeted for shipping. I'll let the buyers do the math.

Over the weekend I went to a small local game convention and ran some demos of Conquest: First Blood.

But, I got to chat with friends from other parts of the state/other states. One was running the "BIG GAME" of Kings of War:

And another friend was running Konflict 47, a game built on Bolt Action by Warlord Games, but with the "what if the aliens opened an interdimensional portal after the nukes happed? And started shoving advanced tech through? What would the war look like in 1947?

Jump-suits, automatons, Tesla energy Cannons, etc...

Morning all,

Gotta find some time to get on over the weekend.

Kind of busy as we had the furnace company out to service the furnace. voted early, got me the pneumonia shot, watched the oldest granddaughter's middle school cheerleading team take a superior rating at the only contest they entered this year.

Yesterday was kind of a killer as I mostly stayed in my chair watching tv. Couldn't do my normal routine until I revisit the cardiologist. I was told to get a couple of tests done this week, but once the insurance ok's the tests to where the can be scheduled, we're looking at probably the 2nd week of December. Dr is part of a large group that has their own testing facility, and still 6+ weeks behind.

I'm pretty sure my last words will be "Damn, that didn't work!"

We're all going to die eventually
No one gets out alive!

My daughter was an army nurse, trained combat medic stationed at the US Army medical center in Vilseck, Germany. Worried about my diet, high in cured and processed meats. She asked her CO a Colonel and the senior Doctor, "What could happen with my dad eating so much cured meats?" His answer "Your dad can live as long as anyone. The difference will be your dad's body will be preserved for some time after his death" They went on to discuss it further, my conclusion; there are many factors, diet is only one.

If I could do one thing differently, it would be to get more sleep. I grossly underestimated the importance of sleep. I used to foolishly say "there will be plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead" - Now I firmly believe not enough sleep will bring on death quicker than many other things. Hydration from only coffee, beer and bourbon can't be good. I think lack of sleep was a major factor in all my various chronic conditions.

My cholesterol has always been low, never more than 113, now 87. My diet has always been high in fat. I love hotdogs, all kinds of Sausages, USDA choice or better beef and almost anything fried! My low cholesterol must be genetics.

I believe God's creations are complex miracles we have only begun to understand. Do your best and let God worry about the rest.

Couldn't do my normal routine until I revisit the cardiologist.
I'm glad you are following the doctors' instructions, keep it up and please keep us posted.
Speaking of lemon pepper,
I've seen my wife using that on fish, its good stuff!
Have you heard of the new wine that's being developed for incontinence sufferers?
For personal reasons I no longer find anything related to piss to be funny. That is just me, please, carry on, no offense taken.
both dogs and the cat decided that my recliner was THE place to be.
Not the recliner, the place they wanted to be was with you! I'm glad to see you are so well loved.

I hope Everyone had a Blessed Sweet Sunday!

My Sunday was not spoiled by the Ravens' historically dismal 2nd-half. I saw the well-played 1st-half and fell asleep. Other than 3–4-bathroom trips (I'm getting better!) I didn't get out of bed until after midnight. Sleep schedule... I have no sleep schedule, i get sleepy and sleep. Life is Grand! 😃

Good morning from Wisconsin! Cooler today but still above the seasonal average. 50f degrees now 62 later. 70’s are back the rest of the week.

We have nothing planned and this has been confirmed with the planning department for today. No medical stuff for Terry until the blitz of appointments on Thursday and Friday.

I have so many things to do I’m not sure I’ll be doing any. The mojo understandably has disappeared for now as too many more important things have happened. At least I got the diesel weathering commissions out the door.

My friend stopped by for a couple hours yesterday. He had a paid version on his brand new IPadPro that honestly the difference between my 4 year old IpadPro and his was nothing. A better screen but I don’t watch movies on my machine so the color difference isn’t worthy. My iPad pencil though doesn’t work on his machine. He caught on quickly but we did not come up with a decent backdrop for his Wenatchee , Wa location. It’s a matter of phrasing the commands, requests and questions. I’m still working on that. This month is a year since I started dabbling with Ai. I started with Claude that was free on the Duck Duck Go browser I use. We asked to create a scene overlooking past Apple yard. We obviously needed a better description. Here’s a sample and a Google earth view of supposely the same scene

Good morning. It's 55°F out there at 0840. That should almost be the average high for this time of year, but no, high pressure to the west persists and warm early Autumn temperatures will be here at least until Halloween.

It was a quiet, peaceful weekend here. That ended at 0355 this morning with the turbo-Diesel alarm clock next door. I hope these people are out by next spring, but I'm not holding my breath.

Furnace filters arriving today, so I can look forward to changing that out today. I bought a six-pack so that will take me into the beginning of next season as well.

Have a great week!

Servus!

Here's a few more photos of people.

Brand new. Broken down already. They don't make them like they used to.

I found the dining car NIB at a hobby shop for $10. Couldn't figure how to get it apart. Put together a strip of LED's and installed it from the
end of the car-kind of like building a ship in the bottle. Always wanted to install people but couldn't figure out how. Finally came up with the
idea of printing a strip of silhouettes and feeding it in from one end of the car.

Passengers waiting for the local commuter. It's going to be a long wait. Don't have any passenger cars. My layout is 5' x 10' and passenger cars would look way out of proportion. Someday I may try a RDC.

Willie- yes, people really complete a scene.

Really enjoy that aspect plus it won't break the bank. I paint using toothpicks because I don't like cleaning the brushes after a few strokes to change colors. Relaxing--assemble a train and let it run while I'm at the bench.

Good Morning All!
33F @ 79% kinda dark with full moon and you can see for miles.

Maria starts on her GLP-1 today or tomorra. She has been looking forward to it so we will see where it goes. I have been getting her to drink more water and she is finding out that is what everybody on GLP's say too. Water is pretty much the key to life; no, not the crap in those plastic bottles. Filtered water is much better AND you need to check what it gives you fresh from the filter. I mean a real water test at the health department or whatever .gov agency you have local. You don't even want to test 'city' water; ya won't be happy. Our water is well water ( 75ft ) with the major mineral being iron. No chlorine, bromine, any other 'ine/id or non-pronounceable chemicals. I have been watching the carbs for quite a few years now. We eat pretty much what we want, portioned to protein, veggies/fruits and carbs respectively. We only eat processed food on occasion - sometimes you just have to pull into a truck stop and have a hot dog! We actually like our diet of protein, fruit and veggies with some carbs. I am 203Lbs this morning at 5'10" and have been hovering 198 - 204 pretty much for 10 years. Previous to the 10 years, I maxed at 285/290lbs completely off the beaten path of diet and exercise and got tired of being sore all of the time. Probaby took me 2 years to loose the 80/90 lbs. Got on Ozempic 7 years ago and that helped finish off the weight loss. We are thinking of some exercising equipment for in the mud room to try and keep the joints juicy. Simple stuff - bow-flex or 2 and elliptical. You can find both of them free at times, abet usually pretty cheap if you want it now.

Sometimes Pix do not load, ya end up with the filename. Ya, know I can Rclick to refresh the image. Had been doing this every once in awhile in whatever topic/thread previously, today is/was many images missing on multiple topics/threads.

Hay Tom! Not many actual fruit/veggie fields in Wenatchee. Railroad Avenue is even gone although you can navigate behind the buildings somewhat and is pretty much devoid of storage/processors - nothing like it used to be, still a Cherry processor and Dovex along with some smaller ma/pa ones. Now storage/processors are located in/near Monitor, Cashmere, Dryden, Quincy and Ephrata. Monitor, Cashmere and Dryden; West on US2, Quincy and Ephrata East of Wenatchee ( US2 ). Up US97 has processors and small(er) orchards. Might feed AI some of those names and see what shakes out.
