Back from preop. Nope, no pills, they still want me to tell them where I buried Jimmy Hoffa. Doc told me mix it with lemon lime gatorade and put it in the fridge because it is yummy when cold. It's called Moviprep of all things. Must be the Jimmy Hoffa movie.

Vitals taken at the hospital showed my BP at 148/77, but I had just walked in. They should have waited several minutes before taking it. I measured 117 this morning.

Did get two ribeyes and something called mock tenderloin. Not sure what that is, but it was very cheap. Might be round? I'll give it the normal steak treatment and see how it goes.

The neighbors will think I am weird (or more weird) when I put my feathers on and do my no-rain dance tomorrow.

ignore te trunouts at both ends. just focus on the curve :)
iam testing out a new in development track planer. so i gave it a go to try my new modular setup.
short answer here (rest i will write in my thread) the curve is around 22 inches radius. i think 4axles should work?

Cheers

Good morning all!

Happy Friday!

Its clear and 45F. High for today will reach around 74F under mostly sunny skies. Cant beat this late October weather!

Usual stuff around the house today. Daughter is off school today for parent teacher conferences. Hard to believe 1/4 of the school year is already
done with.

Nothing much else going on at the moment.

Have a safe day everyone!

45°F out there right now at 0715. Good Friday morning. Another cut-n-paste weather day. Dry as a bone for at least next 8 days and temps in the mid 70s. The leaves this year are all going to turn brown and fall off the trees. That will be Autumn here this year. No color at all.

Nothing happening here for today. Probably sit outside again and enjoy this temperature today.

Have a safe weekend.

Servus!

Yes 4 axles easily will handle the 22 curve and will look ok. So will the 6 axles but they will not look ok. Too much overhang for 6 axle but they definitely at slower speed work on that curve

You have the room in that turn, may I ask why you are not going bigger? No judgement but you can get anything up to 32” there.

Morning all,

Got the furnace guy coming in this morning to make sure the unit is still running at it's most efficient. We had it installed 12 years ago, about 5 months after we bought the place. 95% efficiency rating that flew in the face of the normal houses in our neighborhood. This was the "Cheap" side of the homes built by the developer of the "expensive" neighborhood my property abuts. When new 25 years ago, our homes started under $100,000 where the homes behind us started at $150,000. We have new homes being built a block north that are $325,000. Why is my valuation almost that now????😆

Currently 56° and sunny, High in the low 80's later.

hey tom.
well i "have" the room, but the problem is, it would take up way too much of the space. or maybe iam just thinking it wrong somewhere. i could go 60 deep, mean 60cm that would be 10 more.

the thing is, if i go modular i want to try to stick to the same module space, could be 100x60 or 100x50.
i will try out some more things over the weekend. it looks like that i will have time tomorrow evening, because iam at the last tournament of the season, but in the evening iam alone on the camping. so i will take my laptop with me and try some things out :)

I would love to go wider in the curve, but till now i did not find a way how it could work?

cheers

Good morning from the medical ward of So Central Wisconsin. This is silly Terry spends 2 nights in the hospital and I get sick! My GP said yesterday the worst place to sit is a medical clinic or hospital waiting room without a mask. The last 3 weeks I have sat in way too many waiting rooms. Doctor said I don’t have the flu or Covid after I failed the tests. The Z pack (azithromycin) of pills does seem finally to be working.

I’ve done nothing. Some YouTube videos and a bit of scenic research but nothing I can remember.

We did tell the kids last night in person at the daughter’s and FaceTime with the son Terry’s diagnosis. We are still trying to figure out how to tell my sister who has Parkinson’s. She knows something’s up as they talk 3-4 times a week and I will try to get ahold of my brother today. Only her little brother will be told today on her side of the family. The best friend is coming Monday and staying

If I feel up we will vote today, if not Monday. Neither of us want to stand in the lines on Election Day. They do however move fairly quickly

My haircut today at 9 is moved to next Thursday. Told Jessica I didn’t want to get her sick, she appreciated that

Had our weekly grocery run delivered yesterday, a first for us. Right into the kitchen!

$3200 for Apples new Foldable IPhone. Are people f…ing nuts??? Even the least expensive is $2000.

256GB: $1,999
512GB: $2,199
1TB: $2,399
2TB: Up to $3,199 (depending on configuration)

Even as a work device none of those prices make sense to me. I have been wanting to buy a new IPhone and waiting for this device. No way. Maybe a phone search will keep me busy today.

Again, thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers for Terry and me. We will get through this and be better for it.

Enjoy your day

My thoughts. Build the modules the way you have them drawn up. Then cut some cardboard templates of 22”, 26” and 30”. Lay them on the module and see how you actually like them. They all will fit that space but if this will be an operating railroad I just know you’ll be happier at 26 then 22.
