Laundry done. The last of the summer shirts were put away in the upstairs closet and the last of the winter long-sleeve shirts came downstairs.
Tomorrow I burn this year's worth of downed branches, sticks, and twigs from my walnut and maple trees. It's not nearly as big of a pile as last year. I might wait on this until Friday too when it will be a little warmer in the evening for a short bon fire.
Dinner in an hour and more bar-b-q chicken on tap with mashed potatoes and Grand biscuits.
A very mild afternoon here at 71°F but has started to slowly fall already.
I miss spoke about the last train over the Put Division. There was one more. I was the 4pm to 12am hostlers at the time. We only had 2 RS3's in the yard, one for the Chatham switcher and one for the night 8pm to 8am yard switcher. The yard switcher crew showed up and wondered where their engine was located. It was usually on one of the ready tracks. The engine house foreman said it's on track 50, but it wasn't there, it was gone and no one knew where or why. No one had a clue? The next day it was spotted in Carmel 5 miles away idling on the abandoned main line. Someone stole the engine out of the yard and ran it over to Carmel, NY. The engines at that time were in the yard running with the reverser lever left out in the cab somewhere, someone had to know enough to put that in. They did an investigation which came up empty. It had to be stolen during the day. It wasn't my job to keep track of what engines were available for service. I just move them to be the fueled, sanded and put away. I think they took up some track right after that to make sure it didn't happen again. Swal
Best wishes, thoughts, and prayers To to Terry and You.

With regards to the floating ads: I’ve seen them a few time in mobile safari in my iPhone but not on my Mac Safari. They are annoying.
There was something else I wanted to reply to this morning but by the time I got on my computer I forgot what it was. So you’re all spared a long missive about something no one probably cares about
One interesting thing happened over the weekend. Back in 1983, at the end of my junior year in HS, I participated in a school exchange with a school in Germany. We went there for 4 weeks and they came to use for 3 weeks. While I was there I met a kid who was interested in computers. I had forgotten about it but we had corresponded by letter afterwards. But I remembered his name and last week I noticed I had gotten a view of my LinkedIn profile from someone by that name. The name looked familiar and I thought it was related to the exchange in HS and looking at his profile his location matched. So I sent a message to him on LinkedIn and also a connection request. He accepted it and wrote back and filled me in our our shared history. He had remembered our friendship from the 80s. Today he emailed me more info and copies of the scanned letters he had kept that I had sent back in the mid 80s. With his help I remembered a lot more. It’s nice to re-establish these old friendships. I emailed him back some more info on what I had been up to. We’ll see what he responds. He also filled me in a little on a couple of the kids who had been on the exchange.
Good evening folks, prayers up for Mrs. Terry. Got up to 76 here today and sunny, just a very pretty day. Worked til 130PM today, quiet, so I came home and took a nice nap. Once awake, finished up a Bible course session and when my Missus got home we had a frozen pizza and now we are watching some TV.
On the floating ads, I accidentally clicked on one of them yesterday. Today, I get an email saying that I subscribed to trainz.com. Not sure if that happened from clicking on it, but I don't remember signing up for anything at trainz.com. I did visit it before as it looked familiar. I don't see the flying ads right now, but it would be interesting and horrifying at the same time, if the ad mined my email address from this site and signed me up at the other site. I unsubscribed and reported the email as spam.
